Ask yourselves

What is your aim.????????

Of course the long term goal is VICTORY, but as in war a long term victory is preceeded by a short term goal. Its to defend a position, take an enemies strategic position.

Well football can be likened to that, tomorrow is the beginning of the war, the first of 14 battles each that needs to be won.

You know what your fighting for, it's to secure our league 1 position for next season. Your short term project is to reach that aim.

Churchill famously said in 1940 " We shall not flag or fail, we shall fight them on the beaches, we shall fight them on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the fields and the streets, we shall fight them in the hills we shall never surrender.

Well your beaches, landing grounds fields streets and hills are replaced with County Ground, Victoria Park, Edgeley Park, Gresty Road, etc.

Starting tomorrow each of those grounds need to be held, the midfield not given, bodies put in the way, opposition players chased down with no were to hide, no prisoners taken if the midfield is broken through then the defence holds, we get nasty were it wont hurt us, the front line forces holes in their defence the midfield cuts through with devastable force supporting the men who are outnumbered then getting back, not retreating , just getting back to support their defences, the defence doesnt retreat. It F****** Holds

Churchill was once described as " Having an affirmative quality modern leaders admire. He exuded hope and confidence…. Well we the fans are your hope and confidence, we exude the hope and confidence.

We stand firm, outnumbered by there supporters, urging you on knowing that from tomorrow , each and every one of you will be giving their all for this club.

As two little boys says, do you think I would leave you dying, tomorrow your Jack riding out for Joe, not letting him die. Only Joe is HUFC and its your duty to ensure we carry on in this division.

Over to you all.
