To be fair to ALB, he did well to save a looping header from Brown in the first half and then saved very well from both Fryatt and Howard when they were thru one on one in the second half.

If we can drool over Porters penalty kick (i thought penalties didn't count) then surely we can admit that ALB did some good things tonight?

Why people get so much joy from knocking the players I will never understand.

'Joy out of knocking players'

stpid

You've got me wrong mate, I want ALB to be Lev Yashin unfortunately he's costing the team I love goals and points every single week. Are we not meant to mention this?

Plus the two of three players who most Pools fans would say struggled the most tonight were highlighted for praise in that Leicester biased match report, which is why it is amusing, and debatable!

Fook me I have rose tinted spectacles as my avatar and now I'm being accused of being overly negative, I'm in a high state of confusion!

But in another thread you've said that his two saves were simply down to poor finishing. Just think when someone does something well they deserve the credit surely.

I'm not saying ALB is the best keeper we've ever had, I don't think he is. But he surely deserves to have the good things he does recognised as well as the bad. He made one very fine save at MK on Saturday too which everyone seemed to ignore.

Surely the fact of the matter is that at this level goalkeeper's of Dimi's qulaity are few and far between. Unfortunately that's why they're playing at our level.

We got a good point today and everyone played their part against a bloody good side who have won 20 of their 32 games this season. Let's be happy with that - if we can beat Orient then things will be looking a lot brighter.

Are you suggesting the floated shot towards his far post that he palmed wide was a 'fine save?' He costs us far too many goals and I'm sick of it. He is nowhere near league one standard, Budtz is actually closer at least he comes out for crosses and makes the odd great save. The standard of our keepers is unacceptable.

He made a few good saves, but he cost us arguably two points. And his kicking is beyond a joke.

So we highlight the good things, and forget the negatives. You a social worker by any chance? I think he is the worst keeper we have had under IOR. We could have got Jim provett back last week. Do you think ALB is even as good as Jim?

Bollox. We are playing at a decent level. I suspect most league two clubs have a better keeper.

if we can beat Orient then things will be looking a lot brighter.

Agreed, but you used the word if. A bit worrying that isnt it?

Barrett deserves credit for two good one v one saves to stop certain goals being scored last night, but the fact is the contact for the penalty was entirely avoidable so he rendered those saves meaningless!!! Surely it's not beyond his thinking processes - even in a split second situation like that - to have realised the lad had ran the ball out from where he was on the field, and that he didn't have to go to ground like that?

The fact of the matter is the outfield players pulled their puddings out to get the points. But we had a keeper that threw it away in an instant......again.

It must be soul-destroying to be in that team,
