Absolutely stupid batting. I'd be fuming if an England player did that.

Nightwatchman in. I reckon we'll get him.

I felt setting 500 was right. Trouble is the pitch seems to have very little life in it.

It might be different on the last day.

My theory of disappearing out of the room for 5 minutes worked. In cricket a wicket falls and when footy's on someone always scores.

If we can get Chanderpaul or Sarwan out before the close then it's tam titty.

I think they're finished anyway. They'll fold like a pack of cards on day 5.

Concurring loudly. You wouldn't see the Aussies be so cautious.

I'm suspecting that having had their fingers burned by Sehwag in the not-too-distant past, they were being ultra-cautious with Gayle knocking around, as imagine the wailing & gnashing of teeth if he were to declare & lose.

Not necessarily the right decision (and Anderson should have been told to just slog in the morning yesterday) but I can understand why. He was alwys going to want them to have to score at nearer 4 an over than 3.

If they don't win this test, they can still come back from 1-0 down, 2-0 would have been virtually impossible.

For me, it all comes down to when we get the next 2 wickets. If we can get them in the first 30-40 overs then it'll be fine. If it takes as long as 50-60 overs then the Windies will have the draw in sight.

Half an hour until tea. If we can get a wicket before then we have a real chance.

Get a wicket in the first 15-20 minutes after tea and I reckon they could go like a pack of cards, I think Swann could be the man.

The first half hour after tea will be crucial. If we can get two more wickets in that time I think we will win.

Prior should have been sent in as nightwatchman instead of Anderson, he can score quickly when he wants to, that way a declaration could have come 15 overs or so earlier

We shouldn't have had a nightwatchman at all. We were 300 ahead at the time so it seemed a bit pointless.

A Test record 4th wicket stand of 437 between Jayawardene and Samaraweera, and now Younis Khan has 306no in reply. Lara's record may go tomorrow.

Jayawardne doesn't mind being involved in a massive stand, have a butchers at this one I reckon the South Africans thought they were well on top at 14-2 as well...... anyway 624 runs later

It's wickets like this that are killing Test cricket. 12 wickets in four days.

Because he's about three stone overweight and isn't quick anymore. He bowls at quickest 85mph, normally 80-81. Broad and Anderson are both quicker. Harmison should be binned altogether he's a waste of time.

So you think Sidebottom is a better bet than Harmison?
