on the radio the story of a 68 year old woman being asked for ID when she went for a bottle of wine because the store a one stop shop has that in its rules. Fair enough if she looked under 21 but 68 are we becoming a country of idiots!!!!!!!!!! There are too many stupid rules and not enough COMMON SENSE political correctness is a load of BALLS. rage rage rage rage rage

I agree....it's not political correctness exactly, it's a sort of neurosis:politicians think that if only they can think up enough rules, life will become simple.
On the train the other day, there were 3 tannoy announcements about different aspects of safety/vigilance before the thing had even left the station, as if terrorists are everywhere, just waiting to pounce.
