Turner states on the BBC website that we had no impact up front or carried any threat in the first half, until Lange came on and linked up better and used his experience to much better effect than what we had in the opening 45 minutes. Sad to say but Michael has found it too hard to make the step up, and he is easily marked out of it, and doesn't know how to make an impact against solid League One defenders.
Life is harsh, but we have to do better than what we have been using with MacKay and Foley, and I can't wait to see Lange fully fit alongside Porter and Nardiello back in the side on the wing.
I'm sure that, coupled with Monkhouse on the other flank, goals will be plentiful for us before the end of the season.
If only we could sort out the left back and goalkeeping problems and rotate the squad to accomplish this, we would have an excellent side

I feel if we got a keeper our defence could hold out well enough till the end of the season, if we have the right blend in midfield and that includes a rigth winger with a right foot and monky on the left. Im not a huge fan of Ritchie at the back and would even prefer him in midfield but with monky infront of him he would get more cover. Last year Humps, Monky and Porter was our best form of attack down the left.

Humphreys is here to stay at least til the end of the season. I think even Richie would hold his hands up and say he is struggling, but with the current situation, i think that come the end of the season Mr T will return to the back room, a new manager will be brought in with Micky Barron as Number 2, and Humphreys will kindly accept the youth team coaching roll.

With Sir Richard attaining the greatest EVER player to wear the pools shirt, his name will be first on the team sheet until the end of this season. a new left back will be found pre-season.

With Parmo's comments regarding Monkhouse on left, nardiello right, lange and porter up top til the end of the season, things could be looking up for the final part of the season.

ALB (although I would Prefer a new Keeper)
McCunnie Nelson Clark Humphreys
Nardiello Sweeney Liddle or Jones Monkhouse
Porter Lange

That is probably the best line up in my oppinion when NArdiello is allowed to return

Nice to see some positive, optimistic posts instead of the usual whingeing (from some people).

Turner picked him though so the verdict isn't that damning. Most of us could of told him exactly the impact Mackay would have at the kick off. I don't understand why he's started games this season as sadly it's a waste of a shirt. He is a trier he just blatantly isn't good enough which is a shame. Foley is a far better option up front than Mackay and he also has Henderson (Mackays selection is a damning verdict on that signing) he could have played Monkhouse up front as well who who also would have been a better option than Mackay.
