He always does that in the 90s.

You'd think he would have learnt by now.

Cricket is a fine sport. When Pools are doing sh*te and I'm depressed I sometimes think I prefer it to football. If I won the lottery I would go to every England cricket game home and away for the rest of my life.

287-7. Not too bad, 350 has to be the minimum.

A fucking ridiculous decision by the 3rd umpire to not allow Harmys wicket. It's going to make a farce of it if the 3rd umpire is going to make a decision even if he isn't 100%.

As a result WI are not 76-1 when we could have been in a position to have them on the ropes.

Fully concur.

The commentators were idiots too, saying that cos it hit him just above the knee it had to be too high whilst completely ignoring the fact that Sarwan is about 4 foot 6. rage

taken from bbc.

according to referee Alan Hurst, "deemed to be dangerous for the bowlers and the decision has been taken to abandon play for the day. We're looking into options to relocate, so rather than say play is abandoned, we're abandoning play for the day..." Absolutely remarkable. The camera pans around the England fans, and, to a man, they look like they've turned up to watch Bob Dylan play and been lumbered with Ralph McTell instead.

They might show highlights from 1998 and you can see yourself dancing around like a tw@t in front of the cameras again.

Mad John, I've been meaning to ask this for a long time, but why do you support England cricket and not football?

Just out of curiosity like. I imagine being on this board you have at least an itsy witsy interest in football.

could prove interesting, the wicket at the changed venue is supposed to be 'a bit spicy'. the safety for the fans is questionable, the commentators were discussing whether or not the main stand had been condemmed

That wicket was normally as flat as a witches tit , remember it's where Lara scored 375&400. I doubt they go can turn it into that sort of surface with only two days preparation it's been a football ground for a couple of years!! They said after netting on that square in the leading to today's farce that their is a ridge which was causing alarming variable bounce. This could all work massively in England's favour as we have much taller bowlers, Harmison would have to play for a start. I'd leave out Sidebottom, Anderson didn't deserve to be left out in the first place.

Yes they have stated that it is a completely new test match, they've even said that it's going to called the 3rd Test of the series even though statistically the 2nd didn't take place!!
