Oh yes it is a good excuse! A derby match with a place in the next round at stake and where the winner takes all is something for supporters to get genuinely excited about,
UNLIKE a humdrum premiership game to see who can earn a draw to avoid relegation by an extra point, or to see who comes second behind Manchester.

The FA Cup should be the second qualifying stream for the European Championship contest.
There shouldn't be a third.
