Hartlepool FC Supporters on this board.

I will say again, I respect everyone's right to an opinion, but some on here just seem to think it's their god forsaken right to take a dislike to a player/ a club employee/ even other board members and then to have a go. Like a dog with a bone they wont let go.

Certain player's get the blame for every goal we concede mostly by people sitting at home.

Some player's are even now being written off before the poster has seen him play in a Pools' shirt.

Critcise by all means, thats what these type of forum's are for but at the end of the day a week later, sometimes three day's later those player's need everyone's support to try to get the best result possible for everyone connected to the club including us.

So player "A" may have a bad game on a Saturday, does that mean he doesn't warrant your support in the next game. Course it doesn't.

Yes some player's are struggling at the moment I can name a few, Joel, mainly through injury, Matty seems to have lost the form he gained once he got into the team, Humphreys struggles against pace, but we have no one else for that position (whether we should have is another discussion). Monkey struggled earlier in the season, and I can probably go on listing just about every player who has made a first team appearance this season. but we all know our squad is wafer thin, they dont go onto the pitch to perform badly, who on here hasn't had a bad day at work and made mistakes. But you go in the next day to try and put things right. you expect support from your line manager and colleagues to do just that.

Well on Saturday and each day leading up to it the players of Hartlepool FC deserve your support to put right mistakes, to expect your support for 90 minutes while they try to get a result. After that then maybe have your say on here on their performance on that day, preferably after you have watched it not sat at home and listened to someone give a totally different version by commentary.

BUT between 3pm and approx 450-455 do as the word says and SUPPORT your team.

Who are this 'Hartlepool FC' you speak of?

All I want from ANY player who pulls on the Hartlepool United shirt is commitment and passion, these two can go a long way further then skill alone

AGREE and I have said many times if player's give both I can take a defeat, but even that is not good enough for some.

A player is sent off for committment and written off by a certain poster on here, who, no doubt would have written him off if he had "bottled out".

Some players give it most games and are still written off by many

Don't let the likes of MRC or Tree get to you. It's not worth it.

Totally agree with Bob - once again. One thing interests me though. On Saturday agaianst Brighton the team played reasonably well and were very unlucky to concede a last minute goal. Almost everyone who played got totally slated and abused by many on this board.

Last night after a real backs to the wall performance where we never looked like winning then they suddeny get a lot of praise. In the last two or three minutes of the game we could very easily have conceded and come away with nothing, jsut as at Brighton. Instead of the praise (which I think was justified last night) they would again have been slated because of another late goal and three points being lost. All the hard work and committment of the previous 85+ minutes would have counted for nothing.

Some on here seem very fickle indeed.

I do not slate Foley every time and as I have said to you many times I hope he proves me wrong. My opinion is he isn't good enough for this league and I stick by that. But when he enters the field of play he gets my support till the final whistle.

And who at a football game has never made a comment about a poor shot, a badly placed pass, a 'keeper dropping an easy to take cross.

My point is simple in that people shouldn't assume as many do on here that the same players are to blame for everything that goes wrong.

Find any posts from me were I have attacked Foley on here after every game he has played.

And I still say he not a footballer in this division. But if he plays on Saturday I will support him for the 90 minutes, if he is bad I may then say so on here.

I wont sit at home see he was in the team then come on here to slate him before a ball has been kicked.

See you Saturday mate, then again I have your season ticket so may get in early and therefore not see you. Unless you then pay in.

it's time to get behind the team and make sure we get over the 50-52 points barrier.

The weaknesses are there for all to see but the same players do not necessarily play badly every game. Some people just want to slag players off before they even kick a ball and then wonder why they have played badly.
Without money to strengthen the team significantly we are left with no option but to play some players who we could all agree should not be in the team. As long as those players are doing their best then we can't really have a go at them. Last night appeared to be one of those games where we were outclassed by a very good Huddersfield team. However Pools stuck to the task and gave their all and deserved the praise they received.

Do you remember when annoying kids at school who didn't support a football team used to say that!? They probably all (bar non) turned out woofters.
