according to radio borer - ainsworth already had the better of him at least 3 time to get crossed in one which led to the goal

yer dick, i wasn't passing comment on humphreys at all. he is gash sometimes, but there are a hard core of goons on here that would slag him off whatever he did. and you may or may not be one of them

I guess I qualify as a goon in some eyes. But;

Humphreys has been a terrible left back most of the time. Is it entirely coincidence that our defensive frailties have shown themselves while he's been in that position? Have Nelson and Clark suddenly become poor? I keep saying this but get slagged off but he just about gets away with it against poor teams as in our last Div 4 season but up against anyone with pace he's null and void. This league is full of pace.

By the way, I don't blame the player, he's playing where he's put but he has no business playing at left back.

If we come back to win, I will send you a £5 postal order

We are bobbins away from home and it's a monkey on our back which Scott, Wilson and Turner just can't seem to turn around

No amount of 'keeping the faith' will change this until we get a decent keeper and two proper full backs in the team

Our defence was solid in the relegation season we just couldn't score Humphreys played left back in League One, next season we kept 23 clean sheets. Then Dimi left and was replaced by terrible goalkeepers.

But we'll blame the left back....

Humphreys at fault for the goal, failed to track Jones's run.

How come after watching Pools for 10 minutes the BBC commentators noticed that we play far too narrow and yet three successive managers haven't figured it out?

Commentators know feck all though, gobshites like Merson and Claridge both failed as managers and should stick to playing three card brag and drinking snakebite

I also dont rate Humphrey's or Sweeney as full backs. Whats happened to Sweeney he has been converted from a goal scoring midfielder to a right back. When he first came into the squad he was scoring 14 goals a season and named as the next Tommy Miller for pools?

3-1 Pools

The reason we are crap defensively? No Micky Barron. Our fantastic run in the promotion season started when Barron replaced Darren Williams - and ended when Barron was replaced.

We need someone to shout the orders & keep the back four organised.

Humphreys did get done by their right winger 95% of the game tonight - sorry folks but he simply cannot continue to be played there. He was getting the ball pushed passed him, he was jinked around, and even had the ball flicked over his head twice!!!! He cannot make a tackle, and when Ainsworth made a couple of zig zag runs off the ball, he flummoxed Ritchie so much he was running in the opposite direction when Ainsworth received the ball!!!
Left back is a desperately poor area of our defence.
Sorry Ritchie but for the sake of the team you'll have to go back into left midfield, which, based on Matty Robson's last two games, he should be taken out of left midfield - but this should only happen if Humphreys plays well enough to displace Monkhouse from there.
I would put Matty Robson at left back, it's that bad
