Decent venue. It's not a balcony as such - just a raised area behind the main floor of the venue. Bog standard bar & variety of drinks.

There is actually a balcony above the bit your on about, its a seating area above the raised bit.

Been 3 times, too see biffy, brand new and pendulum, good venue, good size, dont try and stand up if ur in the seats though, the stewards are worse than the leeds united ones, not the same sat down at all, just feels like your watchin a gig on tv.

The beers crap but its a great venue; been loads of times and Maximo Park in there should have a great atmosphere.
If he's young (or small) and not bothered about joining in then he will get a great view if he's in the first few seats (I imagine. Never been in them. I refuse to sit down at most gigs). If he's out with mates and getting hammered I imagine he will wish to hell he was down below where the action and atmosphere's at

Based on the posting dates on the messages above none of you will be going to see Maximo Park as tickets went on sale last Saturday, sold out within 24 hours, 2nd date then added and this sold out by Sunday night.

Am guuted myself as only realised Monday morning whihc proved too late.
