Something is nagging me about Nardiello. A game at Barnsley a couple of years ago. I remember some kind of bust up with one of our players - I was enjoying a balti pie at the time and got distracted. Anyone able to fill in the gaps in my memory?

Chris Lumsden was sent off for violent conduct (an elbow if memory serves me right) Nardiello scored, but an incident with him does ring a bell.

That's it - cheers PJ.
Wasn't that the same game the Barnsley fans in the stand to our left started fighting among themself?

Really distracting those pies - can't remember anything else.

It was a very intense game as I recall. The Barnsley crowd were getting really wound up by Ref's decisions.

It was also the game where one of the Barnsley players stood 1 yard in from the touchline to try and block Ritchie's long throws. Ritchie took the throw and followed through intentionally and basically punched the guy in the face. rolfl

I remember that away game like it was yesterday, betsys penalty was awful, he passed it to provett who had to walk 3 yards to pick it up, it was that shit it almost went backwards.

Hugh was poor and got too off, lacked fitness.

I had a bet we would win 2-1 with eifion scoring first, i think, bastards, nearly came off.

I still have a bit of seat from the barnsley stand at my dads house in king oswy, a fine memento.

I'm pretty sure it was Hugh's (Edit; it was I missed MadJohns post!) debut and it was fair to say he was probably carrying a bit of extra timber!!

His home debut was that incredible game against Blackpool when we could have scored more than the Grimsby game but drew 1-1, Hugh's free kicks were amazing that night I've never seen such consistency from dead balls in one match before or since at any level, His poorer shots hit the bar!
