Guess you're another of the rose coloured specs brigade - no doubt like PJ you wont respond

I wish I was on rivals, I'd get extremely sweary with you unfortunately I have a bit of respect for this message board.

I'm the only person who has attempted to respond to your drivel, what a mug I am.

I think youve got a point (billingham) and the fixture list shows just how dififcult the next few weeks will be - perhaps pivotal in terms of how our season ends up

Brighton - ok we drew in the cup but not after giving them a head start so at best 1 point but i cant see it somehow

Huddersfield - cant see anything other than a defeat here

Walsall - we should be capable of winning this but confidence will be low so a draw at best again

MK Dons - a fear a heavy defeat

Leicester - cant see anything here than a home defeat

Orient - what will be a must win game and one I think we can win though it wont be easy - Stupid rumour circulated by club insiders will have a point to prove again

Swindon - maybe scrape a draw

Colchester - again a pointless journey

making 5 points from a possible 24 giving us a total of 38 points from 34 games - not a good postion to be in going into March

Can I just highlight what we are dealing with here, he has predicted we'll draw at home to Walsall because of a lack of confidence after his predicted defeat at Huddersfield rolfl We will then fall to a predicted heavy defeat after our confidence sapping predicted draw. A predicted journey to Colchester is predictably pointless.

Hypothetically we might as well wind the club up now.

Why bother with even going to Pools? Simply do your predictions in August and the rose tinted specs brigade can enjoy an open top bus tour while the realists can organise a demonstration. Because football is so fooking predictable isn't it?

If you cant see that we are going to struggle your blind we have a paper thin squad, our best player is playing with an injury, we aint particulary good away from home so chances are were going to slip down the table, hence the smaller crowds hope im wrong but can you see us getting many points in the next few weeks?
I've got a rope in the shed, give us a buzz and I'll drop it off and you can end it all....ffs

I thought you'd abandoned the thread and bailed out sctatchinghead but predicatably you didnt nor did you answer the question where are the points coming from over the next 8 games based on your honest opinion

the comment on confidence being low was based on a sequence of results going back to before the new year not just the Huddersfield game

I think you'lll find the journey to Colchester will happen as it in the fixture list so its not a predicted trip is it?

I've gone ot Pools for over 40 years and enjoyed the highs and lows along with everyone else and will continue to support my home town team. Some people on here need a reality check - jesus talk about Brownlees opinions of the borer and his biased views and rose tinted specs you only need to look around this board to find enough pairs to fill specsavers - even Brownlee acknowledges borer are in trouble.

Enjoy your open top bus ride - lets hope its not destiined for League 2

all I'm going to say is, the games not played on paper or whats typed out on a computer screen, its played on a football pitch where extraordinary things can happen.
one team may play out of their skins and win and another team might be full of players that hide and get hammered.

you cannot say that any of this is going to happen, because by and large football is an unpredictable game.

Get behind the lads and cheer em on, not hope to buggery that we get beat so your pathetic vision of the future can materialise!

it's the impression everyone gets Salty.... like you said, as for predicting the scores of matches, if everyone accepted the predicted outcome, they'd just give the title to Man U every year and not go through the bother of playing the matches...

You must be Headlander reincarnated under a different guise cos he's the only person I know who has been going to Pools for that long and feels so negative

You can enjoy the highs, but 'enjoy' the lows, surely some mistake ... hoist by your own petard eh?

Having read through, (god only knows why) these 5 pages, Reefmonkey is being added to my ignore list. I was going to do it before, but I've decided I've got better things to do with my time than read his posts.

By the way billinghampoolie09 is not in any way related to our little group of BillinghamPoolies.

I disagree that it's not often you agree with me when you could have said that you agree with me more often you disagree with me as you tend to agree rather than disagree, but we'll just have to agree to disgree on this occasion ... agree?

Hey, things aren't great in our own little world but how about that for a "crowd" at Darlington last night?? 2400 including 200 Away fans???

2,431 with 141 away fans.

Even I never expected it to be that low and I think I'm more realistic than most when it comes to estimating crowds - some clowns were expecting 4,000 with 800 from Rotherham? On a tuesday night! I thought about 2,700. The bottom has fallen out and fook knows what the answer is (other than winding the club up)

Its gone to a whole new level of embarassment. Two seasons ago we were getting gates of 4,000+ even though we weren't really threatening to be near the top 3, last seaon the alarm bells started ringing for me as even though we WERE generally top 3 and looking good for top 3 we were struggling to get 4,000 on a Saturday anymore and midweek gates were dropping to 3,200. That was bad enough.

But this season? Well.....

I think part of the problem is that nobody actually believes we will ever go up and therefore are not worth watching because we've been stuck here so long now and to be fair they did come out in reasonable numbers c4,000 to watch a slightly above moderate team hand about in 8th to 11th all season. Been there, done that, not worth it? Then add on the prices and general lack of money to the ingrained 17 years worth of apathy. I dunno.
