Is it just me or is the pitch looking a bit patchy compared to previous years?

Note to Uncle Ken: Please don't sacrifice the pitch for a pre-season tournament.

I think it has been blamed on the poor wet weather last summer when the pitch was re-seeded. The new grass just didn't grow as strongly as it should have done before the start of the season.

you win some, you lose some.
It is bobbly now, and the ball doesn't move along the ground as it has done in past seasons

We had a very dry christmas too, we had no precipitation over the 2 weeks I was home.

The daft pre season tournament could have been stated at the training ground after seeing the attendances.

Cardiff City played Barcelona B at the Mini Nou Camp, I've always wondered why we don't try and sort something with Spanish clubs, lovely warm weather for a tough training environment along with cheap flights for the fans from newcastle and teesside.

When I was in Majorca in August I was in the company (unfortunately) of a thousand Geordies watching them in there pre season over there.
