I'm so used to having our hopes raised and then having them fall down that I won't believe Boyd is signing until I see it.

A mate of mine is a taxi driver. He says he picked Boyd up from the bookies near Throston and took him to the Staincliffe last night. He was also carrying a manbag in one hand bearing the hufc crest and had a piece of paper bearing lots of terms and conditions and the words 'leyton orient' and hartlepool united' in the other hand. Not sure what this could mean?! He also apparently was on his mobile at one point and mentioned something about 'sheepshaggers on Tuesday night'.

Did you notice the poster called 'sussex', I thought i'd smelled a rat but he's a long standing poster

What gets me is and I've read nearly every Boyd thread on the Leyton boards....

One group are saying he's signed a three year contract which the club hasn't announced.

Then one group are saying they've accepted a bid of 100 to 150k for him.

So either half of them are talking bollocks or have misinformation or whatever. sctatchinghead

But if we keep on talking about it then maybe it will come true.

My mate who shags Boyd's ex-girlfriend's brother's girlfriend's twin says it's a two and three quater contract.

so its gone from 50k, up to 120k and then 150k and yet hodcroft was in the programme yesterday saying theres very little cash, and we are looking to bring a couple of players in " most likely on loan deals."

as has been pointed out for every orient thread saying he is signing for us, theres one saying he has been offered a deal till the end of the 2010-2011 season, and that he is happy and settled down there.

perhaps we could swap him for sam collins and a kit kat chunky.

if we were to give a kit kat chunky we would need a curly wurly in replacement though

I thought the Orient fans thought Boyd was amazing sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

And why would we want a striker for 100k or whatever when they seem sure he'll be released in the summer banghead banghead

And anyone who says he's signed a new contract then show me where you read it because i'm sure the Orient fans would like to see stpid stpid

See when Mouldy Old Dough says it then I start believe it a bit more.

Any reason why you think it's a done deal?

FFS if it's a done deal why don't they tell us banghead banghead banghead All this speculation does my head in. From now I'm not going to believe any transfer speculation until I see a picture of them in the official site holding a Pools scarf.

Saying that if anyone has any rumours I do love a PM.

Anyone like to add where they got their sources to support a deal had been concluded?

I agree with PJ, this is very frustrating!

I heard from another unrelated source today that we upped the original bid from 50k to 150k and finalising the deal is immiment

so has boyd signed yet then or what?

If he does then we will have 3 decent strikers all of which have had serious knee injuries. No reason for saying that like!

According to Leyton Orient's official site, Boydy is out injured, but it doesn't state what the nature of his injury is.

this is from the orient site.

"We'll hopefully have a couple of players coming back - Boydy is still feeling his knee and we'll have to wait and see with him, and it's a similar scenario with Charlie Daniels."

Let's just hope he's coming!
