Alongside Porter, would we have got something from the game?

We might of you never know, Mackay was like playing with ten men he's hopelessly out of his depth in League One never mind against that oppostion I have no idea why he was selected.

Saying that we won't see Kyle in a Pools shirt again, and I wouldn't say that bothers me in slightest.

I just think Kyle would have rattled them AND he would have been shouting at the ref. Something no-one in our team does.

Young Henderson probably got more sweat on that shirt than Kyle did all the time he was with us.

Yeah he might have gobbed off until he got booked, like away at Leyton Orient, then simply stop trying so he didn't get sent off or he could have gone for the second option and not try at all like away at Scunthorpe.

But Henderson didn't pose the sort of threat Kyle could. Think about it, national TV audience, Kyle desperate to impress. He'd have rattled a few ribs. Just saying like.

I understand where you coming from but personally I'd have rather seen James Brown impressing a national audience. I saw Browny in the car park after the game yesterday and I felt for him, he deserved to be playing in a game like that.

Well granted if Browny was fit but didn't someone split Porter and Brown up . . . . .

I'm just trying to make the point that the partner of Porter was so ineffective.

You take away Mason's efforts and add a decent strike partner for Porter - we could have taken those cowboys.

Wasn't Kyle supposed to have refused to play in Cup games,
so when his big move comes along, he'll be eligible to play in the Final

I'm not so sure, Zola had done his homework and given us too much respect unlike people like Pulis. Playing Faubert at full back for example to counter Matty Robson's pace, I reckon Matty could have had some joy against Lucas Neill who isn't the quickest these days and would kick his grandmother. He didn't have single run at Faubert which was frustrating.

West Ham had another gear but we did push them at times and our performance was creditable, we needed them to play a lot worse than they did to have done them.

A mate caught what Chris Waddle said in 'Five Live' at the end of the game, he said he was very impressed by the way we passed the ball but felt you were too much of a footballing team to actually cause an upset yesterday. If we are going to lose I'd much rather we lost with people saying things like that about us. I remember a period in the second when we kept the ball for 15-20 passes which is impressive against as you say one of the best ten teams in England.

Probably not, as DW would probably be manager which would ...well... you know

all the neutrals ive spoken to said we played some really good football and were suprised how comfortable on the ball we looked playing against one of the top 10 teams in the country.

I fully concur. The people I watched the game with said much the same. The same crowd had watched West Ham walk through Fulham the week before and thought we had much more of the ball than Fulham. We just didn't have a Konchesky.

If, if , if ..... Terry Bell didn't play, or Mally Poskett or Joe Allon. like the man on the box says about the bargains, once they've gone, .... they've gone.
