Come on have some faith you fickle people i could`nt make it today first game missed.

Why are you so negative i could understand IF YOU made the effort to go to away games instead of jumping on here at the final whistle.

The club need you more than ever.

See you Friday.

Sorry, I seem to have misunderstood you somewhere.

I couldn't make the Hereford game due to work commitments. Many others have family, don't live in Hartlepool or haven't got the time or money.

I have just as much faith as you do in Pools. Maybe more, you don't know that. But for god's sake, we lost 3-1 to Hereford, and we still haven't won a game, or looked like we could (apart from maybe Torquay, but only during 45 minutes).

Don't go all condescending on us because we're exercising the right to complain about poor performance after poor performance.

OK, heres on for you...

Anyone on here (and I imagine thats 99% of us) have been watching Pools for longer then they past seven years of PO's, promotions and thrilling Cup Ties, can see the club slipping back into the pre 1998 shite that was a bye word for watching Pools

We seem to be going down without a fight and most of the players seem to walk around the pitch as if they couldnt give a fuck

Prague YOU ARE TALKING OUT OF YOUR FAT ARSE PAL. Where you at Swansea Friday night (relegation season)? seven of us behind the goal ETC ETC I've done all of that shite and A HELL OF A LOT MORE, so I won't bore you with the hard facts of the hundreds of away games I've attended over the past twenty-four years (yes -HUNDREDS). IF I WANT TO SLAG THE C-UN-TS OFF THEN I WILL SLAG THE C-UNT-S OFF. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT KIND OF PERFORMANCE IT WAS WITHOUT EVEN BEING THERE- I'VE SEEN THE BASTARD MORE TIMES THAN I'VE HAD PARMOS FFS!!!!!!!!!!!

over the last 20 years i have averaged 40 games a season every season. the play off final season i think i made 20 away games. last season that slumped to about half a dozen. this season i quit after macclesfield. i know what you are saying prague, because theres a part of me that still feels like that. the problem is that in the past ive gone to away games with no expectation. in the 70s and 80s the team was almost universally crap. and then we got the money of ior. and suddenly we were good. and we were winning. and then, inexplicably it went crap. again. only now we are crap but the players are on good money. and theres loads of them. and so is the manager. and a small army of hangers on. added to which i now have kids, and committments. and its a big ask financially to make 40 games a season if you are not even enjoying it ( macclesfield cost me 30 quid and a day off work and it was tedious. ) i now play football on a saturday morning. and to be honest i actually enjoy playing more than forking out 50 quid to travel to some far flung shihole to watch a rag tag of overpaid arseholes going through the motions.

when i said wilson was incresingly scary i meant it. the bloke has not got a f***ing clue. he has had a dozen games in charge and he still hasnt worked out what his best team/formation is. his first signing was a journeyman midfielder in his 30s who grimsby sent packing because he wasnt fit. i expect he will start his first game some time around xmas. he was then poised to sign a striker shrewsbury didnt want only for injury to step in and prevent another disaster. we have effortlessly gone from being within 10 minutes of the championship to a scrap to avoid the conference.

as for hodcroft his intentions were made clear as soon as the money was took for boydie. with the season ticket money also in the bank it was back to signing more cast offs.

with the season ticket money and new shirts money we fork out for our families some of us are handing over 10 per cent of our earnings to the club year in and year out. i think this gives us a right to an opinion. if wilson hasnt stopped the rot by the end of september then he should be sacked, along with butterworth and chris turner. ior should also elbow hodcroft and put someone in place that actually has a clue.

Do IOR actually keep an eye on things at the Vic though, you would of thought they cottoned on Scotty was shite before December like the rest of us!

Don't patronise me you little shit

I went to every home league game last season, all bar 2 the season before

With 3 kids I can't do away games, so don't try to tell me you are better than me & I lack commitment

The team is crap, it was crap last year, it was crap the last 1/3 of the year before - do you see a pattern emerging here? I remember the bad old days & I don't want to go back there, I've got used to going to games expecting a win, it's slid from that to hoping for a win, hoping not to get beat to expecting to get beat & I don't like it

It's almost hit shit or bust stage with me, I said at 4.30 today that if we don't win Friday - that's me, I've had enough of watching crap. I won't carry it through of course, but the thought is there & if things don't get better - It will grow

Something has to be done - NOW

'Cos one thing is absolutely certain I WILL NOT attend games if we are relegated to the conference

Some nice answers i thankyou.

In my view a lot of it was bollocks try being a true supporter instead of throwing your toys out of your pram come on this Hartlepool United.

Come on my first season ticket cost £72.50.

Been to away games with less than 10 fans.

I can smell the coffee and the only way is up give DW a chance.

The majority of the people on here are long time supporters. I remember seeing the likes of Parmo at very poorly attended away matches. For example; when there were 12 of us at Mansfield stood in the pissing rain on an uncovered terrace singing; you're supposed to be at home.

The only way is not up, there is a big ugly conference league waiting for us if this continues. This time last season we were in a far better relative league position.

I for one don't blame Danny Wilson. He has taken over a complete shambles of a squad who are far too arrogant for their own ability. I would ship out about 60% of the squad if all other things were equal. The trouble is we can't so we have to rely on the gutless planks that took us down last year - not a cheering thought.

It needs sorting out.

Swansea 91/92 last away game of season 5 in the away end Daltons last game.

Just support the team we all love.

hey up what's this picking on a new poster??

29 years been going now on and off, more on than off, 22 years being going now under own steam and apart from an anti gibson protest where i skipped a spell and also an alarming dependency on certain things i may have skipped more as i really cant remember.

i dont want to start a an anti hodcroft protest as i want to go to games but if it dont get sorted sharpish i may have to reconsider.

i too have done the daft away game lark, seeing shitholes like halifax, stockport, rochdale etc far too many times for my liking and wasting too many hours driving up and down to torquay, year after year - getting hassle, getting wet, getting stuck in traffic jams, getting lost, getting beat, getting pissed, getting pissed off and so on and just cos i'm a poolie

we'll all give Hartlepool time, but not a profligate waste of dosh - get a proven scorer at this level and get a fit grafter for the midfield on sunday morning danny boy.

chins up chaps only 13 points off the lead. i think

I thankyou for all the nice words of wisdom, but in truth we are arguing over the one thing that connects us all the love of Hartlepool United.

Yes we might disagree about team selection and DW but lets not fall out over this.

In reality the team will be here no matter what because us as supporters of the club we love will make sure we never die.

Yes things are diffcult at the moment but just keep the faith.

I agree fully with the faith idea; however, you've somewhat contradicted yourself by your original approach. You have a go at us for having a stereotypical loss mentality, yet you held the stereotypical view that we didn't make every effort to go, as if that's all our lives revolved around.

I love Pools more than life itself, but it's the same as dealing with a friend - you don't get anywhere trying to help and support someone that doesn't seem to try to help themselves.

I am pondering your words but i do not think it is true what you say but supporters who fail to go to away games yet spend more on cigs or going down church street of a night should not have a go at the team.

This is why i think it is easy too say i cannot afford to watch poolies away from home but get pissed down Church Street and come on here on the final whistle of every away game slagging off the players.

That's just plain judgemental!

If someone wants to smoke or go out on a night out with the small amount of money they have, then that's up to them - Pools fans shouldn't have to give every last penny to Pools if they choose to do something else with their time; many could even turn round and say that results like Hereford 3-1 Hartlepool are exactly the reason they'd rather spend £30 on a night out as opposed to £50 getting there, back and the ticket.

You don't have to be the model fan to throw criticism - the facilities are there (such as radio in particular, plus video highlights, etc) for you to have judgement. True points will be met with positive feedback from fans who both go and don't. False points will be argued into the ground.

Fact is, the people who complained on the messageboard before you marched on in were in the Bunker chat room from kick off to final whistle, and all were listening to the radio and discussing the highs and lows amongst themselves. They paid for the privilege of Pools World, as do I!
