"Cheating northern monkeys"
"The pitch was like a minefield"
"TV coverage biased towards them"
"960 fans outsinging them northern monkeys"
"They're booing our 2 black players, racist northern monkeys"

Same old shite from a premiershit team, their fans were awful considering the numbers they had, I thought Crewe were louder a few weeks ago and don't doubt that Carlisle will be on Tuesday night

I've always said this - the fact that there's more fans of a certain team don't make them more knowledgeable. In fact, the higher up the leagues and the bigger the clubs, the less knowledgeable and more blinkered and one-sided they get.
I'm really glad we don't have to put up with such shit week in week out.
The worst team for arrogant supporters in our league is Swindon. Their fans are wa-nkers.

That last allegation is quite a serious allegation to make and is completely unfounded - he was booed because he should have been redcarded.

As for the TV Coverage, this is the Cup - there is goingto be slightly more interest in a team you don't normally see on TV before.

you'd be suprised how many of them say hartlepool is their second team

over the last 15 years west ham supporters have been using hartlepool as a stop over travelling to sunderand, newcastle, boro

everyone who i met was real top blokes, could not speak high enough of hartlepool, apart from a couple of rasits back in 2001 - was told a excellent stoy going around London about queens park rangers, west ham and hartlepool for about 4-5 years

The comments on the board where probably made by the WHAE (AKA West Ham Armchair Elite) a group of "fans" who follow "their" club from the comfort of their armchair with the assistance of Mr Murdoch and the Sky Orgainisation..

Bet half them wouldn't even know where the Boleyn Ground is never mind watched a game there..

These types of "supporters" wouldn't know a "real" game if it turned up and bit them on the arse...

Watching football on TV is NOT the way the sport should be enjoyed in fact it's schite...

Give me a live game pitchside everytime...

Just a few points to be made about what some of you are saying...

1)With regards to fans comments on forums...you get a lot of idiots on forums, many who are at the ages of 14 and 15, who can only see that the fixture contains two teams in different divisions meaning it's easy. Comments like this you see are not from the majority.

2)As for selling out. We had 950 tickets available...and all were sold out. You had to have 14 priority points (needed to have been to at least 14 away games in the last season and a half) to get one. So how you can say we didn't sell out, I don't know.

You were comfortably beaten. I give you credit, that you played well and took the game to us. We did have to break a sweat, and we had to work quite hard.

There's no need to judge every fan by the odd comment from an idiot on a forum.

Our away end holds 967, you brought 856 thusof those 967 that bought tickets 111 (about 13%) did not come.

On your point 2, I have no reason to doubt that you did sell out your allocation for the game and no doubt could of sold more than double the amount if given the chance, the fact still remains that the empty seats proved that some did not turn up for whatever reason.

We operate a strict no standing policy in the ground so apart from alien abductions, too many beers or being locked up prior to game some of your paying customers just didn't turn up.

The few West Ham fans I spoke to prior to the game seemed spot on lads, I took my daughter to the ground early to get some autographs and Zola took time out to autograph her program and have a few words with us and he was a true gent.

Good luck in the cup and league and any help you can give our big 3 neighbors in dropping down a level will be much appreciated.

I have no doubt West Ham could have brought several thousand if given the chance but 13% of the allocation not turning up just doesn't make sense sctatchinghead

They must have been the ones that wrecked The Marine and were locked up for the match

Yes...a comment was made that we talk bollocks about selling out our allocation. We did sell out that allocation easily. I don't know why some people haven't turned up. But we did not only sell 856 tickets, I can assure you that.

I myself attempted to buy one...but did not have 14 priority points. Maybe tickets were kept back for some reason...however we did sell out what was available to us.

looks like they talk bollocks before and after the game.

over 100 empty seats in the away end today.

shiit away following. theres bigger teams in our league than west ham. rolfl

Oh dear...

People who come out with such stuff should really check their facts first banghead

West Ham were allocated 916 tickets...i take it the extra were not given to us and used either for Stewards or just for health and safety. That was the actual amount we were given.

I personally was in The Cameron Terrace with quite a few others (who have been staying in Pool for 15 years whenever we play up North) but gave you the respect of not abusing our welcome.

As for noise...The game was an early kick off and that always ruins the atmosphere.

Now as for the forums...you get muppets on all football sites, take you on this one

We have indeed and have many mates up there...so much so that they wouldn't let us go in our end but got us tickets in with them.

We even went to Cardiff with you lot a couple of years back V Wednesday..

Many people from off this board would have had a drink with us over the years...so to come on here and read some not too nice stuff is a bit sad but as i said earlier, we get plenty of plums on our sites so i know its not everyone.

Good Luck with the rest of the season...sorry to hear Porter might be going at the end of it, i personally thought he was the best player on the park

Meet up with 6 West Ham mates on Saturday and they told others to come to the Millhouse on Saturday for a drink and they love Hartlepool as a stop over the only bad side was my mate Dave got pushed and threatened with his son going back for the train after the game.
