i've got bastad tonsilitis and can't (literally can't) drink anything fizzy/sharp/alcoholic. is heroin my only alternative ?

There must be some kind of alcoholic drink that you can force down?

How about wine?

Or Woods Navy Rum?

Surely it would only hurt for the first couple of drinks anyway?

tried wine, hurts like fook. tried irish coffee with glenfiddich, stings like 8th place in league 2.
tried cider, nearly passed out. made a mojito, neighbour called the police. tried a weak bitter shandy, had to punch myself in the face.
