Reading Hufc site's and the average post is positive towards the current situation. As far as they are concerned, everything is normal service. The current trend appearing is subservient and we are doomed without the current owners. Our position in the lower divisions is inevitable, acceptable because of the mind set of today’s fan base.

The average Pools support is happy to languish in the lower tier of football for ever more. Why? Because they are happy to except the position we are in at the moment.

The gate figures bear out the average supporters thoughts on the current events. The recession will be a factor on the gate no doubt, but talk to supporter who no longer attends home games. The reality of another season of struggle is too much to bear. The reaction of the hard core supporters at home games towards the team at times is self explanatory. It is one of frustration.

The towns floating supporters won’t buy in to the loyalty of following the club unless they are successful on the pitch to attract them in the first place. Some suggestion are put forward that relegation would enhance the gate size with another promotion push from a lower division. This mode though is again showing a lack of ambition asked by the fan base.

The club has been in existence for over one hundred years. Football is a business that will always attract investment for various reasons, good or bad. This is an inevitable fact of life, the problem with the current fan bases is their own mind set. Ambition is not a word we associated with HUFC as a club.

On regular bases our past history is forgotten because of loyalty built around the current owner’s investment and modern day success, which is understandable. Why past achievements by the club are forgotten is a mystery? An example is the era of the 50's. This was one if not the best eras of the clubs existence. Pools as a team came with in touching distance of promotion, match first division teams in FAC games etc. Had some of the best home grown players ever to play for the club and was financially on a sound footing. This era earned the club respect through out the football world

The current company invest millions of pounds in to the club, yet they let their investment be lost by walking away. I don’t think so and the bigger picture is still to unfold.

Time will tell!! yawn1
