Barrera must fancy his chances as he does not need the money.

im sure he does, and im sure he will be favourite. however there were plenty in here who stated khan was knocking over dummies and had fought nobody with any credentials.

to me he seems to be prepared to fight anyone thats put in front of him despite him having an iffy chin, and you cant knock him for that.

personally id love to see the kid win a world title. he's done plenty for his country and his community, and at least he hasnt fooked off to switzerland to avoid paying taxes.
I;ve reserved my judgement on the lad purely as in my opinion he has not been tested now that day has come with Barrera so lets see what Khan can(no pun intended ) do and hopefully he will be triumpant.

With Prescott you could see the knockout coming,Khan was untested & maybe a little complacent.Prescott was hungrier & stronger than Khan.
Barrerra is way past his best & I dont belive hes got the hunger any more.
Khan will beat him.

errr not really. there are an awful lot of boxers who are able to withstand immense punishment without losing fights or even hitting the canvas. generally regarded across the board as having the best chin in the history of boxing was " marvellous " marvin hagler. you could probably have hit him with a sledgehammer and he would not have gone down.

there are also great punchers, with terrific hand speed like khan, who are generally considered to have weak chins i.e they go down almost every time anyone, and i mean anyone, connects cleanly with them.

anyhows hears an interesting article on men you simply could hit all night long without knocking them over :

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing ... id=3184174

Marvin Hagler, I would of knacked him, no bother, with the old 'Talbot shuffle'

no doubt another chance for bunkerites to will another non-white british olympic medallist to get beat.

would pmsl if khan knocked him out in the first round.

Not me. I quite like Khan. He's a good lad.

I thought he was outstanding in Athens four years ago. Unlucky he didn't win gold.

Why do or will people on here not like non-white BRITISH Olympic Gold Medallists ?

What was unlucky about it ?
He was second best by a long way & beaten by a much better fighter.

Unlucky to have got so far and not put the icing on the cake so to speak...but a silver medal is not something to sneeze at.

He did well to get the silver, but Gold was never going to happen,Kindelan was just far too good.
Khans last fight before he turned pro was a rematch with Kindelan which Khan won,but it looked to me like Kindelan had taken a dive.

Regardless of Khans olympic exploits I think he will beat Barrerra.
