my uncle was on about this programme about the backward town being the roughest in the country did anyone catch it and know were i could watch it.

apparently there was this young lad who weapon of choice was a petrol grass strimmer with a chain on the end, its like a case of places like whitton park etc who everyone is related and are entering a genetic diversity bottleneck

Plus I won the Meat Draw last time we played it!

That would swing any vote.

Exactly.

4 Pork Chops, 4 Steaks and a Whole Chicken, plus a string of Bangers and 6 Burgers.
I'm glad you specified the meat .... the League of Gentleman butchers scene flased before my eyes.

the one in the toutchy (now wok inn) was always a good one, the last one i recall anyone winning was my mate in the warrior had a good bbq the next day

Its in East Cleveland, old Ironstone mining country, rough as a badgers, isolated ,similar to our very own Wheatley Hill, Thornley , Shotton sort of places. Places like Loftus,Brotton,Skelton have pockets of deprivation and high unemployment like all ex industrial places, strange when you think the last mine closed in the early 60s. Skinningrove still has a steelworks and seems ok; Canny Ironstone museum their like which is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
