Makes you wonder who chose Mr Wilsons signings and how much he had to do with who was brought in - we were all quick to slag him off for the signings maybe a little unfair based on these comments

As for Wilson, even if we apply your version of Turners comments, Wilson must have known the system in operation when he took the job.
He's gone and I haven't slept better for ages.

Obviously the chairman or who ever will have say on budgets but coments like

'any players coming here loan or permanent makes no difference who is in charge.'

suggests that the manger gets what he given to work with and he view doesnt matter

No, it 'suggests' that Turner is probably refering to his own situation and that it will be 'business as usual' despite the circumstances at the club and that players will continue to arrive at the club, even though the post of manager has not been resolved.

Dont worry lads, we have a scouting system all over Europe LOL! Would like to know who they are, Turner getting mixed up with his Championship Manager game I reckon.

turner also said that there is no rush to sign anyone in the first couple of weeks of the january window,because the clubs try to sell the players but if they can't then they will let them out on loan before it closes,i think he wants to get a move on before all that's left is the crap

Look at the whole statement:
“We try to bring players in who we have scouted and who have seen – any players coming here loan or permanent makes no difference who is in charge.’’

I'd have thought that to anyone who wasn't looking for a fight, this would obviously mean "it doesn't matter who is in charge, our policy doesn't vary: we try to bring in players we have scouted and seen, whether they are on loan or permanent."

The inference that the manager has nowt to do with it is complete bollocks. rolfl
