I'm having a ten spot on first goalscorer Windass tomorrow.

As soon as he didn't sign when the news was breaking that he had it wasn't going to happen, it's a shame because he's just what we need at the moment but Oldham is easier for the bloke to get to from Hull and they have a chance of promotion. At least we had a go and at least we know behind the scenes the club are striving to improve the squad.

I've heard, but it would hardly be an inspiring signing would it? What's he done in the last couple of years? He has plently to prove I suppose.

Neither want to play for us so there's no difference between Duffy and Windass.

I don't think we've ever had talks with Duffy so that's not really fair, we were just outbid of the two occasions he moved I believe. You can't blame Windass for making a decision, he had a choice and he chose Oldham we've got to accept that.

What I won't accept is how he's used us for spin, he had no intentions of joining Hartlepool, I knew that from the moment it came out and the moment he said he was thinking about it.

He played us and the media to alert other clubs of his availability. He wasted our time.

Can't say I'm too disappointed to have missed out on windass. Whilst he would undoubtedly got us goals his wage demand would surely have been high and realistically would have been nothing more than a stop gap! It looks nailed on Joel will be leaving in the summer and there's also a chance windass may retire leaving us in the exact same position? Surely it's in the best interests of the club to sign someone who can serve us not only this season but for the next few!!

Its not a bad area Willerby. House prices have remained fairly high up there. They like to think they arn't part of Hull too, just like the Beverley crowd! Its funny

Don't agree PJ, he's a twat for mentioning us when he had no intention of signing, the bounder. It was obvious from the moment he mentioned us in the Sky Sports interview that he was simply letting everyone know of his availability.

Doh, just seen Mr Gaunt has the same view.

Duffy would be better suited to our style of play anyway. WindyArse is finished - Duffy will get more goals for us :!:

Oh I'm not complaining.
Although that goal he scored against us at Oldham that year was a cracker after we all gave him stick throughout the game.

Well, it's getting away from the subject I know but are you sure you aren't confusing Oldham with Barnsley? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

In 2004-2005 we beat Oldham 2-0 at Oldham and it was us KB scored for; the game was live on Sky.
Then we beat Oldham 2-1 at the Vic when he played for them, when everyone was singing "you greedy fookin bastad" and he went on to miss a sitter.

Edit: see below! :uhoh:

Anyway, threadwise, more to the point, Windass played four times for Bradford against us and scored in two of those games, but we still won three of them, even one with Scotty in charge! So let's similarly stuff Oldham!!
