OK what we need is something simple that everyone can take along with them - cheap and cheerful - there must be something - perhaps our wonderful town rag can even get on the bandwagon and help us out

maybe a monkey mask or better still as its on Tyne Tees how about a Jeff Stelling mask to cut out and stick onto carboard

maybe even the club can dish something out at the turnstiles

remember Grimsby years ago with all them cod

On a seerious note though, i think the club should buy blue and white balloons. when everyperson walks through the turnstile they are given one blue and one white balloon. when the players come out release the balloons. theat should be 13000 blue and white balloons covering teh pitch (6500 pools fans with 2 balloons providing it sells out).

Even just inside the gates, give the youth team some cardio training in blowing all of the balloons up and keep them in black bags or something
