QUEEN legend FREDDIE MERCURY has been voted the Ultimate Rock God by music fans — even beating ELVIS PRESLEY.

Freddie, real name Farrokh Bulsara, pipped the king of rock and roll in the poll of 4,000 fans by onepoll.com.

A spokesman said: “His theatrical performances on stage were incredible.”

Freddie sold 300million records before he died of an Aids-related illnesss in 1991. JON BON JOVI came third.
