for a country that has suffered terribly at the hands of others for years and for a religion that has been a victim for centuries you would think that the near genocide that they are comitting in gaza would be a touch more criticised.

It doesnt matter how long ago it happend, films like that and the Pianist(which is probably the best film i've ever watched) are made to show people what this nation of people had to suffer

Judea was the home of Jews untill it was conquered by the Romans and re named Palestine, later it was conquered by Arabs

In 1917 it was granted to Britian to build a home for the Jews, in 1947 the UN patitioned the land into Jew/Arab states at which the Arabs where not happy and went toe 2 toe with Israel.

So in a nutshell it wasn't there land in the 1st place :wink:

The pianist is a great film. But those that suffered werent a nation. Where they?

What happened to the jews was unquestionably horrific, but it doesnt justify Israel killing innocent people.

No idea. But I cant help but think, Israel was made to give Jewish Americans a home. OK, thats probably well wrong, but Israel does seem to have a very american approach to conflicts. i.e bomb the bastards and ask questions later.

The yanks will not resolve any issues there because to do so would mean Israel giving up certain things. That would be political suicide in America. So how can that be right?

This won't end until someone lets-off a homemade dirty nuke, then all the fighting will be pointless (nothing left to fight over), but they will continue anyway. It's tribal, and goes back 2500 years at least.
I couldn't possibly comment (in a Mel Gibson sort of way), as the media (Hollywood) and banks are not owned by Palestinians.
