To all those that I asked if they could kindly put me up and responded, thank you very much, but I have had to cancel any plans I had to come up for the game due to money, convenience etc.

Rest assured though I will be cheering Pools on by shout very loudly at the television set at home ! clappp clappp clappp

Mr TPP, cousin, thanks for the text informing us about the night shift, I appreciate the warning in advance. clappp clappp clappp

I'm sorry PJ, I just can't physically afford it, I've had an expensive Christmas, and the journey is too arduous by coach and too dear by rail.

Ordinarily, wild horses wouldn't have been able to drag me away from going to this one, but hey it's on ITV - at leasst that will allow me to be there in spirit and my full 100% will be behind the team.

Watching the Pools game on TV from here is very different to me being a Man U gloryhunter.

I did contribute, PJ - I made the long trek in the freezing fog to the freezing North West and started my journey at 6.55am - at leats I made an effort there.

It's not cheap and it's too long by coach - maximum of EIGHT hours -, rail is expensive, I haven't got a car to try to maake the journey quickly.

Gettging form the South to the North quickly and cheaply at the moment is virtually impossible, Talbot.

No

a) I haven't got a car - I would like one but at the moment they are too expensive.

b) Fuel prices are high because of the war.

c) I haven't learnt how to drive - I would like to learn but lessons are expensive.

You're just going to have to accept it, however hard it may sound - I can't do it....maybe sometime in the future I micght come up, eh?

But it would still cost me a lot of money to drive 200 miles or so to Hartlepool, refill and return.

Yes, you know, you remember the war in Iraq that President Bush dragged us into in March 2003, the one that President-elect Obama wants us to leave?

Aye especially given if you drove 200 miles you'd be nowhere near Hartlepool. Another trait of the;

I hear now they're not allowed to have a light-skinned puppet in the show, how ridiculous is that?

You know, I resent being called juvenile just because I've watched High School Musical and things like that and enjoyed it.

If it's a round trip of 575 miles, you could do it on a tank and a bit in a diesel

A blog on the Guardian website.

I remeber seeing a similar article from a left-wing newspaper basically rubbishing Bond films as being anti-women.

It's a Bond film, how can you not like them?

How much does it cost for a tank, and a bit of diesel?

It would take some time doing it on a tank mind (and bloody cold), they are a bit slow ain't they.

Unfortuantely unless someone were to offer me free travel, which I very much sincerely doubt, I'm afraid I still find myself in the same situation.

Don't worry about it - it's on ITV.

That's a nice offer, Salty, it really is, but nothing can really change unless I find a quick, frequent, cheap way of maybe, maybe getting there.
