Bugger. I thought Liddle was back to his best on saturday but would still prefer him at left back with Boland in the middle with Clarky.

... what.

Bin the injury prone old get, we can't afford to carry top quality players who can only manage a game every few months never mind average ones.

Spoke to him last week at training. He had a setback and reckoned he required more surgery, and it is likely he will be out of action longer than Browny. He won't be back this season.

Chess!! I knew we would beat Stoke LOL! . Boland been out a while now , wouldnt be surprised if we never saw him again in the infamous blue and white stripes. We hardly win when he plays anyway and he doesnt score enough goals even for a defensive midfielder so cant see what the fuss is about. Okay things maybe tighter at the back with him in the side but gives us nothing going forward.

To be fair, he's had some extremely good games for us. And he started this season very well too. Seems harsh to write him off so early. I hope he comes back quicker and can play a part towards the end of this season.

I think Willie has been a good player for Pools, it's a shame about the injuries but the bloke can't really help being injured can he? When he is on his game Pools tend to have a lot of control in games.....

i dont think anyones suggesting he gets injured on purpose, but if moneys so tight we cant buy players then boland is a luxury we cannot afford.

he has been injured at least 50 per cent of the time he has been here, and even when he does play he invariably has to go off after an hour. id love to see a stat showing his games started ,to games where he has completed the full 90 ratio.

he may have 3 good games a season, but that hardly deems him worthy of a contract on good wages.

I wonder what kind of medical he had before he signed for us?

Wilson is a bounder

based on Boland's injury problems, I should imagine IOR will take a very keen interest in any prospective signing's injury record in future.
Boland was actually still injured when we signed him if my memory serves me right.

I think he'll sign for Swindon in a coaching capacity.

a shame he hasn't featured more for us, because at his best he's a tremendous player

cant believe given mad johns stats confirming what i already suspected that he was given an extension to his contract in may.

another example of wilsons disjointed thinking.

Jobs for the boys springs to mind, like when Houchen gave Tony Canham a contract just cos they were mates.

thinking may not come into it, although joints may have been involved in his decision making

Totally agree! He's a good tough tackling midfielder who can spread the ball about well too.

But my favourite player in that position in recent years is Gavin Strachan!

Nonsense Mr Ripper. Are you seriously saying that Houchen signed him purely for 'friendship' reasons rather than for the fact that Tony Canham was a fantastic footballer with an outstanding goalscoring record!??

disagree wit you Mr Stu Poolie about Strachan - I don't think that we've had a better player than Tinkler in that position!!!
