I'm with Mut on this one. I class cricket, rugby, golf and tennis as 'old boy/social' sports which is why we'll never be as good as we could be in them.

Some bloke chucks the ball, another tries to bat it,then they all stand about for a bit before doing it again,5 days later it rains so they call it a draw.
Yup,cricket is shit.

Dogshite

On the whole it is a tedious sport, trapped in the past with nob jocks like Boycott giving it large about how good he WAS and shite everyone else is

FFS , was it Yorkshire who wouldnt let foggies play until a few years back?
It makes the FA look modern in comparison

Exactly, how scared is Warne of KP? And Collingwood was outstanding. Hopefully we can put the Aussies well and truly on the back foot tonight. We have a great chance to get back into the series but at the very least the first innings performance should ensure that we al least don't lose the test.......

You're right but we might live to regret not playing Monty.

And as for Geoff Boycott who was mentioned in the other post, he is a legend...... He normally tells it like it is and is probably my favourity match analyser and summeriser......

Cricket is shite

You cant play in the rain, snow or dark (unless you think that Kerry Paker stuff was any good)

You cant play on anything but grass

Like rugby, only countries that play the thing are countries we owned

It is (on the whole) a middle class sport in this country, like Tennis and Rugby Union

Rugby League is wank as well, played by fat necked tosser called shane in North West and West Yorkshire shite holes

Prove me wrong!

Well lets compare cricket at the highest level to the national game football.

1) Crcketers never fake injury or pretend they are hurt when they aren't.

2) They generally just accept the decisions of the umpire without complaining.

3) Working class people have more chance of being able to afford going to a test match for a day than going to a premiership game.

Thats why I said ON THE WHOLE, it is a middle class sport, still trapped in the 50's

How many England internationals in the past 25 years have gone to a comprehensive school?

I'm (surprised to be) with the majority - so far at least.
I couldnt give a monkeys about most sports except football.
Used to watch snooker and darts when I grew up but havent watched them for 20 years.
Watching cricket takes far too much time for me. I can think of loads better things to do, or loads of things that need to be done.
Golf is even more dull.
Rugby, just cant be bothered.
