Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock is prepared to let goalkeeper Graham Stack leave the club in January.

I'd rather have Jim Provett back in the team than either of the current incumbents.

a former striker looks to be the sum total of pools january ambitions

By that do you mean one playing at Orient or an other Mr Chip?.

So if it's not Boyd...it must be one of these....

Darryl Duffy- Mainly used as a subsistute at Bristol Rovers last I heard, perhaps he wants to join us? He was a good player for us. But to be fair, I really can't be arsed with the saga again. But....with our striker shortage I'd take him.

Jon Daly- Playing consecutively at Dundee, would he want to come back, would we want him? If he did it would split the fans. I doubt it.
Steve Howard - I doubt Leicester will want to let him go. Again I doubt it.
Kevin Betsy- Too greedy and I doubt we'd want to meet his wage demands. Once again I doubt it.
Jon Parkin- I doubt Preston would want to let him go. Again I doubt it.
Ian Moore- Too much of a daddy's boy to come back and after walking out on us, I wouldn't want him. He was ahead of Porter in the pecking line, which I thought was unbelievably stupid. I also doubt this.
Jermaine Easter- Some people will argue he was forced out by the boo boys and wasn't given a chance. I'd argue he just wasn't good enough for us at the time, he's apparently done well since leaving us thought, which is a big surprise. Once again I doubt it.

Also rans...
Jon-Paul Pittman, Eifion Williams, Michael Proctor, Andy Appleby, Marcus Richardson are all none league and I doubt any would be good enough us to join us, with the exception of Eifion and briefly Richardson they never made it in the football league.

Unless I've missed someone out....

He never turned up for away matches so doesn't count. Ritchie Barker only scored penalties so he doesn't count either.

hi all, long time reader first time poster.

Never felt the need to post before but I have some info and I thought i would share it because I think Hodcroft and others at the club are geeting a bit of a raw deal on here. With regards to chip saying Hodcroft wasn't prepared to fund the Dimi deal, i know this to be false, the situation was the total opposite. Before Dimi signed for Swansea on loan the club had put a deal together and Dimi was all but ready to sign it, however a certain ex-manager decided against the deal at the last minute for a reason if I told you it you wouldn't believe me as it is so laughable banghead

I know people may not believe this with me being a new poster but i know this to be true. IOR are willing to sign players to push the club up the table if the right one's are available. Don't believe all that Wilson put out in the media about not being able to bring players in.

Not wishing to disrespect your information, but why are you posting it at twenty to one?

what the hell, i'll just word it different to how I was told. Pools endorse the theory that players wont be brought in unless it will improve the squad, lets just say at the time the manager apparently spat his dummy out and said that the signing would not improve the quality of the position Dimi plays were he to be part of the squad

everybody knows that dimi is a much better player than the other two put together. I think its simply a case of having to get one of them to leave before being able to bring another in. Money is tight people. Uncle ken is having to be tighter than ADG

it is also very very true to say that danny wilson would not entertain the idea as in his words he was " happy with the goalkeepers currently at the club."

I can't see what has happened at Pools since Aug for Wilson to come out with the above comment, he wasn't happy with the goal keepers pre season or we wouldn't of wanted the lad from Aberdeen. From what we read Budtz had to be farmed out for him to come, so that tells me that DW was talking out of his arse.

The thing we'd have been better off with Budtz in goal, he couldn't even pick the better one of the two shite keepers he'd signed. You can't blame those funding us questioning the need for 4 keepers on our books, it's all the legacy of Danny Wilson this banghead

No probs Chip, that does explain it but as PJ says both Turner and Wilson think ALB is the better keeper, I was one of the dew people to see ALB play for Weymouth and even then you could tell he was poor.

Can we on the Bunker have a whip round to buy George Woods one of them special golden Labrador puppies.

When ALB signed it was obvious we had signed a clown and I said so at the time. Some Weymouth fans went on wither this board or ITN and said that he was cack, there was no mixed reviews like most signings you get.

I'm sure ALB is a nice bloke and tries hard in training but I really hope he is not the keeper when Pools are on the telly.....
