This time last week we were suicidal after the Crewe game and not overly optimistic about beating Stoke. Seven days later we've destroyed a premier league team, got a good draw in the fourth round of the cup with a very good chance of signing one of the most sensible and prolific forwards around.

Football supporters are novelty seekers with a pronounced need for emotional highs and lows. Otherwise, they'd take up fishing instead.

aye- those who like to fish can stay there all day and night for as long as it takes.
We only have Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours, so we don't want to be disappointed too often!!!!!
I also think it's a good way for even mad f-uckers like me to go daft on the drink and rant and rave and ball and shout and swear and jump about and get excited.
Cos that's what life should be like to me, not stood there in my waders.

Fishing is for bounders and no mistake

And anyone who disagrees is a bounder

No debate needed

Y'know something, this is the most optomistic I've been since Cooper was in charge, the management has a human face to it, we've had three years of faceless football technocrats, now we have someone who actually seems to care and it shows...... and it does matter.

yes it DOES matter, but we still got beat 4-1 of the worst team in League 1, so it does matter, just not as much as results

let's just say results for the 'transition period' were always gonna be a bit unpredictable... but it's a bit like getting your head kicked in, it doesn't hurt as much if your pissed

I used to tell the kids when they were little about shoals of patties and man eating fritters... it helps if you lie well, they lap it up.
