If you were stopping at your cousin's gaff then maybe him or their lass might pick you up from Diddlesbrough?

National Express (or whoever it is) has a coach from Victoria Bus Station to Hartlepool direct. Awful way to travel in my opinion, like - but it's relatively cheap

POK, can you elaborate on exactly what or whom you were trying to get up?

Train or coach probably, using the cheapest and quickest way of transport possible that will get me in Hartlepool before kick off.

if he times it just right he could even dispatch his population pellets down her gizzard just as the bus pulls in.
That way he wouldn't get embarrassing "wood" from the rumble of the bus on the journey home either

pok why dont you collect the national express tokens in the daily mirror cos you can go anywhere for a quid ?

theres a bus from victoria gets into hartlepool at about 8 on the friday night. mr tax will probably pick you up and make you some tea.

you can get the overnight bus home on the saturday night after a look down church street with your cousin and his lass. she may even have a mate that you can neck on with.

That sounds like probably the best thing to do. I'll see whether it's viable first down here and I'll take it from there.

Anyway, it's no good talking about it if my dear cousin and his other half won't beable to kindly accomodate me in ther first place.

Don't worry about whether he can accomodate in fact it would be better if he wasn't there.

POK

Grand Central leaves King's Cross 07.57 arrives here 11.21. Return from here 17.56, back in London 21.17. Not sure of exact fare but its half fare for over 60s if that's any help.

I always seemed to get a bonk on when i was a young-un on the bus but only when i had trackie bottoms on and sat near the back of the bus

I always ended up about 10 stops past where i wanted to be waiting for it to go down

Thank you very much for your kind generosity. I'll think about what I want to do and then I'll see what happens.

Of course, if there's no way of getting a ticket, I might not be able to think about coming up.
