I've just a few mates of mine from school who are Hammers fans that if they want programmes from that game, they'll have to kindly give me the money sharpish so I can order them because they'll probably sell out like Leeds last Boxing Day !

Well done ITV, sensible choice !!!!! clappp clappp clappp

Hey I've been to Leyton Orient, the Fleetwood fog, Peterborough, Northampton and Millwall this year.

Would have gone to Brighton but something came up.

It works both way these live TV games - yeah you get young "supposed" Man U fans latching on and watching the match with everyone else, but for those who maybe not be able to get a ticket for the game at Pools and live miles away from the game. (which I fear may be a 7,000 sell-out - where could they all have come from ?), it's actually a great thing.

Apart from Fleetwood all less or just a little bit more than 100 miles away from Kent, your first thought should be trying to get to the Vic.You could get a ticket if you wanted one and if it's not a sell out you'll have contributed to that because you'd rather watch the game from this;

Actually, it makes it all the more difficult that. Trying to get up to Hartlepool for an early afternoon KO.

I'll have to see about a cheap way of getting up there, if I can, if not, it'll just have to be the TV.

Why not stay over at your cousin's the night before?

I read that as the prize money for winning each round. Let's face it, the FA rake in millions and millions from the national side and various sponsorships and tv deals, so it's only right the prize money for their premier knockout trophy should reflect this.

That sounds a good idea in theory, Ripper, but my cousin may not be able to accomodate me...and which is more, the fact that he has a very nice girlfriend may make matters a tad difficult.

Why would that make it difficult?

Unless he is scared that she'll not be able to resist you?

I'm sure that he can find room for you in his lovely big house.

I'll have to ask and see whether he and his other half would be happy to accommodate me.

That could only leave the problem of travelling to Hartlepool.

Sorry I tried to post this after the elvis post. The one referring to the amount of money we will make. And that fact that PJ Poolie mentioned about the loids saying it was a bad draw. Does that make more sense now? I was being ironic, I think. sctatchinghead

Reading between the lines there's clearly some history between PoK and said girlfiend.

You dirty dog PoK, no wonder you don't get to many home games.

I'm trying the quickest, most cost-effective way of maybe trying to get up there and I'm working through a couple of scenarios now.

Now I just thought the train services to the North-East were certainly not cheap, direct and helpful in terms of getting you there for the game, but I forgot about Grand Central !

Do they do any cheap fares ?

I think what I'd have to do is if I went, I would have to get a train to Victoria from home or geta coach after Uni from Canterbury to Victoria, then get a coach up to Middlesbrough, and then get a bus or a train to Hartlepool from there, to capitailise on the cheap coach offers, or get a direct coach to Hartlepool.

If you were stopping at your cousin's gaff then maybe him or their lass might pick you up from Diddlesbrough?
