A while ago there was a thread about which grounds you had been to when Pools had won. It dawned on me that I've dragged Mrs Nottingham to lots of fixtures over the years, and she's witnessed the following:

Exeter Pools won 2-0
Cambridge 0-0 draw
York 0-0 draw
Peterborough Pools won 4-3 and 5-3
Notts County Pools lost 1-0
Sheff Wed Pools lost 1-0
Grimsby Pools won 2-0
Wrexham Pools won 2-1
Rushden Pools won 2-0
Swindon 1-1 draw (secured play-off place)
Sunderland Pools lost 1-0
Oldham Pools lost 2-1
Barnsley 0-0 draw
Chesterfield Pools lost 3-1
Blackpool 2-2 draw
Bournemouth 2-2 draw (secured play-off place)
Millennium Stadium v Sheff Wed Pools lost 4-2
Forest Pools lost 2-0
Port Vale Pools won 2-1
Accrington Stanley Pools won 2-1

8 wins, 6 draws and 6 defeats, which is probably as good as it gets for anyone watching Pools away from home.

In pre-IOR days I went out with a lass who came to about 8 Pools games with me. We drew a couple and lost all the others.

I think I'm probably great company if we win or snatch a draw, but I know I'm a complete misery when we lose. It's probably a good thing that our lass doesn't come with me any more.

I shared the delights of Bolton, Birmingham, Sheff Wed, Burnley and of course Hartlepool with Mrs Chessington when we first got together in 1992. Her last game was at the Goldstone Ground, Brighton when the pools fans were stood on that open terrace on the side. It rained, her perm got fooked and she has never been back
