I used tp play on the same team as Clyde Best circa 85, really nice bloke and had a excellent football mind as his physique was not the same as pictured above. Also on the same team was a mate of his who played many years for Bradford City (probably 70's and early 80's) a blonde haired lad who was known as the golden eagle when he played for the now defunct California Surf. Both enjoyed a really good slurp after practice and the games.

Agree about the top strip though, I'd love Pools to adopt a white strip with two blue bands, or vice versa. Trust me it'll happen. :wink:

Just been looking at a picture of Clyde Best. Chrissie has the West Ham 1975 Cup Final record of I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles (Michael Jackson's favourite song?), with a picture of the team on the cover. The picture also includes the stars of the day Trevor Brooking, Billy Bonds, Mervyn Day, Bobby Gould, and Frank Lampard Snr.
