In the football supplement we were the last report, even behind Darlo where we both got a page each......Blyth Spartans were nearer the front and got a full two pages preview of their coming match. Then to compound my misery, I flicked through the pages and down the bottom of the reports for the 'big three' were comments by fans on a particular topic, ............ why can't the bloke from Seaton support his 'local' team.?

The Sunday Sun's coverage and markings for the Pools game were laughable. Middlesbrough who thrashed Blue Square outfit Barrow 2-1 had 4 players who got 8's, and Downing who got a 9 the only player to get under a 7 went off injured after half an hour. For us only Nelson got an 8 then 6 7's and the rest 6's. The fooking doyles!!!
