So whats our record in the 4th round like? I gues the 4-1 defeat to Ipswich was one of the latest a game I can say I witnessed

and no wise arses saying we lost all the ties

I was at Sheff Utd in the fourth round when we lost 1-0. 93 perhaps?

My own 4th round memories are......

1-1 home to Bournemouth in 88/89 and then lost 5-2 in the replay

1-0 away at Sheffield United in 1993 at Bramall Lane

Can't remember any others in my lifetime as a Poolie.........

We played in the fourth round four years ago, drew 0-0 at Brentford then lost the replay 1-0 after Jack Ross was incorrectly sent off in the first half.

What about Brentford when Jack Ross was wrongly sent off....? i think Mad Dog was the manager of Brentford at the time - didn't he swim the Tees or something daft?

Yeah I was at Bramall Lane in that 1-0 defeat really unlucky too the noise the Poolies made was terrific as it was at Ipswich despite the result Im sure Derek Downing scored a cracker for Pools that day I also remember taking the piss out of a certain Paul Mariner and there were these lassess in Ipswich kits going round the touchline selling raffle tickets to the chorus of prostitutes and get your tits out for the lads from the Poolies (happy days), was also at the Bournmouth home and both Brentford games but wasnt that the 3rd round though

yes we would have got Southampton away in the fifth round.
I can remember the cup runs of 77/78, 88/89, 92/93, 04/05, and of course this season.
In fact I wasn't even born on our first excursion to the 4th round

So we can create history in our centenary year with a win?

I'd forgotten about the Bournemouth game. We had a good 1,000 at there place for the midweek replay and if I remember rightly, it was the year when Bournemouth beat manure in the 5th round or am I talking shite Harry Redknapp was manager at the time.

I was at Ipswich and did both Brentford games a few years ago. In terms of the draw though, I think it's the kindest we've ever had. Usually we'd have got something unattractive like Burnley away.
