How can you be disappointed it's a brilliant draw!!!

Full house, potential for TV, and a realistic chance of progress!

Have we ever played West Ham?

West Ham is a cracking draw, they are getting in form, we haven't played them before and they are managed by one of the best foreign players ever to play in England, oh and we make sneak a win.

If we'll get a draw they'll be 30,000+ at Upton Park, and the tie SHOULD be on TV, seen as we beat a Premiership club at Vic and have the opportunity to do it again. They are a big name but struggling, prime for a shock! Brilliant draw!

I can't believe some people are feeling disappointed with the prospect of Zol and another old historic English club like West Ham coming to the Vic. Hopefully it will be on the TV and a 7,000 sell-out.

Great draw.

Butterworth and a very few of the lads sat watching the TV in the bar and after we were drawn to play West Ham - the players didn't change their behaviour. A few smiled, looked at each other. They didn't jump up in joy or anything like that.

Hello lads.

Obviously I'm a West Ham fan and I'm looking forward to our game at your gaff. Should be a belter imo. If you want to gauge some of our fans reaction to the draw then feel free to go to...

www.kumb.com

...and navigate to the general discussion forum and look for the topic titled F.A Cup draw.

I thought we had liverpool when he said eight before he added teen.

Never mind this is a winnable one - and they should play football rather than kick the liing day lights out of us.

How are sweeney & mykay? Any word on how bad their injuries are?

Butterworth came across very well on sky after draw. Very diplomaic - good draw - but could have been better - but could have been a lot worse.

We won't try and kick you off the park...that'll be Stokes tactic and Stoke are probably the most un-premiership style premiership side.

We will try and play you off the park though! Since Zola's taken over our style and quality of football has improved no end. We are much, much better to watch than we have been in previous seasons and it's now that we are starting to get the results.

Obviously we both think it's a winnable game but, tbh, I'd be happy with a draw and a Wednesday night replay at the Boelyn so you guys can sample what 30k+ fans can do for a team!

I cant understand why anyone would be disappointed with West Ham at home. A team built on some fine history, a team that many say virtually won the world cup for England with Moore Peters and Hurst.

Previous winners of the FA Cup.

A premiership team at home, yes my ideal choice would have been Liverpool away but once West Ham came out I cant say I went O thats disappointing it far from it.

They will play a strong a team as possibly as they will see this competition as a way of possibly winning a trophy and getting into europe to make money, and that is something they well need.

At the same time they may well have sold some of their star names, Green ,Ashton ,Bellamy, Dyer , Parker to attempt to get revenue in during the transfer window, meaning a chance for Pools to advance to 5th round or get a replay at Boleyn \Ground, so making the money from that.

Disappointed no looking forward to it, it's far more appealing than Swindon would have been that weekend.

Will he become the vilest specimen of humanity to ever play at the Vic?

it's a home draw, a club we ain't played before and one of the bigger clubs in the country - every arsehole who has stayed away all season will be after tickets for it.

However, there should be no regulars who lose out and it should push the gate to near 7000 which is great for the club and win, lose or draw it will be a great day for the fans, players and club. Fourth round for only the sixth time, after beating a top flight club for only the second time in the FAC

A team laden with internationals (whether hated or not) will be on the pitch and to be honest i stil fancy our chances - fast forward three weeks please

Summed up perfectly katcha.

A point forgotten in this thread as well.....West Ham were seconds from winning the cup 3 years ago and then narrowly lost on penalties.

That'll depend on how they decide to sell the tickets.

Some regulars have to work and can't go and stand in a queue all day like the dole wallahs can.
