there is normally a David v Goliath match, lets hope they realise there could easily be a shock result at Victoria Park

If you were looking for a potential giant killing then Pools/West Ham would have to be top of your list.

So if they show 5 4th round games we must have a fair chance at getting shown.

But they will show it, it is a local derby plus there is the Billy Davis factor

I'd be amazed if that was on, I just don't see the national interest. Yes it's a big derby, but at the end of the day it's a Championship fixture. Most people massively interesested in that game will be at Pride Park.

West Ham have a massive fan base but will only be provided with 1,000 or so tickets, good for viewing figures I'd say!

Liverpool v Everton and Man U v Spurs are games shown during the regular season and they generally show both home and away games for each fixture. This boils my blood because if they show these games then they are just helping to make the rich richer and sod everyone else.

Derby v Forest, as someone else said, is a Championship fixture and is surely nailed on to be shown in the league anyway so why repeat it again?

Valid reasons not to show any of those games live but you can almost guarentee that they will. The media in this country are so predictable its unreal.

I can't understand why Sky, ITV, Setanta etc cream themselves at all Premiership ties and are desperate to show them when we are subject to at least 3 and sometime 4 live Premiership games every weekend.........

If it was to be shown live, then it would be Setanta, trying to increase their subscriptions. Can't see ITV being interested as a live game.

My predictions

Live

Liverpool - Everton
Man U - Tottenham

both nailed on I reckon.

How many are going to be shown in total? At this stage of the cup the media have usually forgotten about their lip service to the "minnows" and are just marking time until we are all knocked out and they can get on with the "proper" stuff. You know, the teams where they know the names of the players.

I have us down as mebbe a main highlights game for ITV on the Saturday night. In that case being abroad would be alright, as you could probably catch it live.

Problem is as the competition moves on they may show less games each round.

I could see them showing

Forest v Derby ( Billy Davies against his old team) Allows them to mention Brian Clough as well

Liverpool v Everton, the friendly derby and all that

Man U v Spurs, all premiership and last years winning FA Cup manager taking on the champions. And he knocked Man u out at quarter final stage last season. And has a hat trick of victories over them as a manager in the FA Cup

Cardiff v Arsenal, 1927 and all that the only time the FA Cup has left England and Cardiff beat Arsenal in the final that year.

Now knowing tv those are better games in their opinion than Pools v West Ham. I hope I'm wrong but to me we look like 5th choice even with the possibility of an upset.

It appears that Setanta get 3 games from rounds 3-5.

ITV select a total of 16 games from the competition.

ITV have so far shown 4 games?

So a minimum of 4 live games, probably 5

Pretty sure that is on Setanta anyway, would be suprised if Setanta tried to pick that up again.

Would depend on who has first choice though, pretty sure that as the 'normal telly' channel, ITV have first choice.
