But for me the man of the match was.....David Foley. I know he struggles to produce it for the first team but he was the best player on the pitch and his goal was superb. I hope he finds a way to score goals like that for the first team. A couple of Leeds fans who I sat near said he was brilliant and one described him as the next "Theo Walcott" and said they would love it if Leeds signed him (no I'm not winding you up). Again, I hope he learns how to translate his peformances for the reserves into decent peformances for the first team.

And he finally reproduced it for the first team. Thank fook.

I said on this previous post that Foley playing thriugh the middle seemed more at home.

Everyone on here knows i dont rate him, but I called it then now and today he had to play as a forward and did the business

he has to play up front or not at all. He simply can't perform in the wide areas, he's too easily snuffed out of the game and his head goes down, which makes him look even worse when he's out there. If he's a striker, then play him as a striker, and if he comes on as a sub, then it has to be as a striker.
Why did Wilson keep putting him out wide?

Because, POK, he was clueless

Why do managers make football out to be some sort of science?

The best managers, Shankly, Paisley, Busby (not Viv!), Knowles, Cooper, kept it simple and lo and behold, they won

I hope Wilson gets what he deserves at Swindon.........

Maybe with a couple of signings and a different approach, we can surprise Wilson when we go to Swindon for the rearranged match. The fact it is now postponed will probably suit us more than it suits them

It's one of mine too, it can't be that hard to play 4-4-2. with full backs, centre backs, wingers and forwards playing exactly where they should

Wilson fooked about with the team far too much, perhaps trying to show he knew best

Well it didn't work that way for him

He has only gone to Swindle on the promise of more money and it's not as if he was denied cash at Pools and Bristol City, was it??
