...... of certain posters over finding out why managers left. To begin with, it's a private affair between two parties, but the assumption amongst the 'sniffers' is that it's the club at fault.... But, Heaven forbid, they did find out, then what ......? sctatchinghead ... just suppose some outrageous reason was given, then what? .... are the club going to ask these important people if their decision has their seal of approval? .... because in reality, what they think is totally beside the point, as their logic is based on pure nosiness and their own deluded self importance, When they are paying the bills, then they can set the guidelines, until that day dawns however you're governed by someone else's rules.

I think we at least deserve to know whether a manager has been sacked or not - seems that its only Pools who can't divulge such information. I know we have no right to know a lot of things that go on but some more openness on the part of IOR to keep supporters on board would not go amiss IMHO.

it's called human rights (blame the EU)

If Danny wants to keep his personal matters on the down low then it's up to him.

Give me one valid reason other than your own nosiness...when you leave a job, will I have a right to be informed why you left?

But surely if you are contributing towards the bills then you deserve some sort of explanation?

Like the old man used to say when i was about 14 "when you pay your way in this house you can have a say on what we watch on the telly"

Either way i'm not interested in how or why Wilson left. I'm just glad he did, but when people are putting the thick end of a grand into the club then surely they matter? and better still deserve an explantion into things that are going on that might stop them putting the thick end of a grand into the club next season?

Top post, Geoff. clappp clappp clappp

That's exactly what me and migthepoolie have been saying on other threads.

See, there are people on here that actually do agree with the points that I make.

OK, go on then, give me a scenario for Wilsons departure that would make you stop going ...?

This is a job that everybody is interested in, because it is high-profile. I belive you need to explain what happened in order to stop rumours floating around like they do.

There isn't a scenario with Wilson leaving that would stop me going. In fact, i was seriously contemplating stopping going if Wilson remained in charge!

I said......

But i'm just looking at it from other peoples point of view.

It's the way IOR work, it's the way 99% of business works, so why the fuss, Now come to think of it, in all the years I've went to Pools, I don't ever recall being given a reason why any manager left. Theres was specularion and rumour, but that's it.
As I said, if they found out, then what...? would it change a thing, no, we'd just have trainee fishwives like POK probably saying he didn't believe the reason given anyway, it's a no win situation and if I was involved I wouldn't want anyone knowing my business anyway.

i've said it before an i'll say it again (got shot down last time but hey i like the conflict), i go shopping at Asda. i am in a way loyal to them, and it would be none of my business if Maureen on the tills was sacked.

That's a very pisspoor comparison misterb2001 isn't it?

After all, you wouldn't spend 2 hours a day, 7 days a week on the Asda shopping forum discussing the why's and wherefore's of the reasons behind "Maureen's" sacking would you?

You go to Asda because you have to, not because you want to!

And i couldn't imagine you jumping around the aisles like a loony, hugging your best mate and punching the air just because you'd bought a fooking bunch of Banana's as much as i could see you walking out with your your head in hands and kicking off on the Asda fans forum because they'd ran out of Waffles!

We come back to the question of what if both parties have reached an agreement that is mutually beneficial and both sides are happy...... if that is the case, it's none of our business.
WHAT NO ONE SEEMS TO REALISE IS..... that if things were as awful as they like to imagine they are, I can think of one ex manager who I think would have spoken out .... maybe the truth is just more boring and mundane than you think.
As for the Asda comparison, I bet you spend more money and time in there a month than you do at Pools.

people try to justify their importance by saying we are the fans, we deserve to know.......well this is the same bunch of cunty fans who slag the players off regularly, boo them for no reason, destroy their confidence, slag off the management and generally make Hartlepool United fans look like the ignorant wankiest fans in the country that they are, i hate most of our 'fans' nearly as much as i do Darlo fans. i'm ashamed of them.

(i'm not slagging off everyone here, just what i see as the majority)

No wonder Uncle Ken doesn't let us know anything, because we are all not nice people
