All albums up to Animals are excellent for me with some inspired moments - two bands for the price of one (Barret/post Barret). I always think the wider the range of music you like the luckier you are and struggle to understand the 'I don't like it so it's worthless' argument. Prog rock on BBC4 tonight at 10:00 am. Should be excellent - happy New Year by the way :coool:

Ive seen Pink Floyd a couple of times
1990 Knebworth,got bored & left after 15 minutes
1994 Rotterdam,got bored & fell asleep
2000 Roger Waters at Glastonbury,got bored & went off to see some random DJ in the Rizla tent instead
Just in case you haven't guessed,I find Pink Floyd boring
Years ago when I was a heavy dope smoker people used to be amazed that I liked a joint but wasnt into Floyd stpid
In the main they are boring music for boring dopeheads (even though the starter of this thread is not a dopehead)

Anyone remember the episode of Eastenders when Ian Beale smoked a joint then went & sat in the pub telling everyone how 'The Floyd' are the answer to life,the universe & everything.

I was either too young or too old to get them. Too hippy for me, too drug induced and too boring. How long does a guitar solo have to go on for?

Mind you, I'd rather go to a three week Pink Floyd concert dressed only in drawing pins than listen to one song of that overblown karaoke machine that is the beatles (capital left out purposely)
