DIMITRIOS Konstantopoulos has extended his loan spell at Swansea City for another month.

The Greek keeper has spent the last two months at the Liberty Stadium after agreeing a move from Coventry City.

Konstantopoulos, who has made five appearances for Swansea this season, saw his loan spell end following Sunday's draw at Birmingham City but is now back among Roberto Martinez's squad.

The 29-year-old will provide competition to Dorus de Vries to become Martinez's first-choice shotstopper.

For the last month of a 3 month loan deal.

Not denying its truth but where was the info sourced? All I could find was an article dated 21st November 2008. There's nought on Coventry's official site or POK's favourite the beeb.

knackers. sadx

Can't blame him for wanting to stay as high up as he can, maybe they knew of Pools' interest so they upped the ante.
If Barrett is in nets for the rest of the season we are fu-cked, simple as. Let's see what the club can do in January, because it's not looking good otherwise is it?

No thanks to Danny "happy with our keepers" Wilson.

If he was so happy with our keepers he can take them with him and we'll have Peter Brezovan in exchange. rage

We were all hoping, just like we're all hoping that Kylie & Cameron Diaz will knock on our doors & ask for a threesum but we're not really expecting it.

maybe Mr Gaunt's suggestion of Clayton Ince might be the way forward, he's experienced and that's what we need to get us through the season

Where is Souter? Where is the lad Cook?

Surely we can afford to pay one of our existing keepers off preferably Barrett and get someone in NOW before its too late banghead

if Barrett is kept in goal, we are fu-cked. That would be taking the piss. The outfield players must be appalled at the thought of him staying in goal for the rest of the season.
The Huddersfield game we got the points in spite of him - he caused us to have to score at least two goals we shouldn't have had to score that night - but the list goes way beyond that. Now the forwards aren't able to dig us out of these shit-holes caused largely by the goalie, and then the centre backs and IMO left back area -in that order of who makes the most mistakes- we are going to be lucky to get a single point in any game. A goalie constantly making mistakes, though, is disastrous.
If the club is happy with relegation this season then fair enough, but a lot of people won't be and it could cause irreparable damage so far as getting the crowds in is concerned.
We have to get a keeper in I don't care what the people who run the club think - and if they are stubborn over this then they will get what they deserve.

Absolutely gutted about this.

I've never felt so much apathy towards Pools as I do right now. I don't even feel like going on Saturday.

Ditto.

But the transfer window is open and we might sign a couple of players before the weekend.

And pigs might fly.

And Paedo of Kent might grow a brain.

Hang on. Even if Dimi wanted to come back, which by the sounds of it he's been billy bullshit to a one or two of the posters on here who apparently speak to him now and then!!
Why should Hodcroft splash out making him the highest wage earner here when we are barely getting 3000 home fans, honestly some people believe owt on here, Boydy, Dimi, Miller etc....
give your heads a shake, we are Hartlepool United, getting one of the lowest crowds in league 1, we are stuck on the foooking freezing cold north east coast, we are doing shite in league one and we pay shite wages. Nuff said!!

Our crowds have dipped because we are no longer battling it out at the top of league 1 or league 2. There is also a recession and the honeymoon period we had pre-cardiff is long gone.
We are one of 92 league clubs fighting for top 6 finishes out of each league, our squad is mediocre with only 5 or 6 players good enough to sustain league 1 football.
We are shipping goals like there is no tomorrow and our leading scorer is foooking off at the end of the season.
There's a few reasons to be pessemistic!!

Maybe Hodcroft shouldn't splash out on the player mentioned above but did he not say after the last time we got relegated that it was his fault it happened and he would make sure it didn't happen again.

Well something needs to be done and quickly or the same thing will happen again and I hate to think what the crowds will be down to next season if we end up in division 4.

The club pay good wages, if you don't think £60000 a year is good, which is about the same as other clubs in this division, stop drinking turps!

I think crowds have dropped due to the amount of negativy surrounding the club at present. Reading some of the posts on this board We're clearly all doomed and may as well just go and slit our wrists now!. OK I know things could be better and am as concerned about the lack of depth in the squad and the quality of some players as the rest but can't people just try to be a little more positive.

We have a big, attractive, game coming up against a team from the Premiership. A chance to get a big scalp and there are people on here talking about not bothering to go.

Didn't we lose £1.6m last year? I don't think it's the oil running dry, I think it's a tightening of belts. Our only hope of preventing similar loses this season is too not pay silly fooking huge wages and perhaps a decent cup run.

* We still don't know the percentage Pools paid of Kylie's silly fooking huge weekly wage

I'm not very optomistic about the future but IOR are still in charge, we have a 3rd round f.a. cup game on saturday which I cant wait for and things can only get better.
If we go down tough shit, we'll be back, maybe we're just a Crystal Palace type team bouncing backwards and forwards every couple of seasons, years ago we wouldn't have argued with that.
