I beleieve all honours should be not open to sportsmen, showbiz or big business on the grounds that if you were any good at your sport, your gold medal or cup winners medal etc should be reward enough, as for showbiz, if you're any good at your job you'll have been well rewarded with money and public adoration and as for big business, again, if you're good at it, you'll be rich, so welcome to the board.
Give it to the real people like lifeboatmen, charity workers etc and not those smug people who always appear in the local awards for being 'chairman of this' and 'director of that'... just for 'being there and wearing a nice suit'....... rant over.
