Mark Simpson and Micky Barron summing up on Pools World...

We were unlucky.
We were hit by sucker punches
They beat us by counter attacking
We were the better team in the first half and should have had it sewn up by half time.
The fans shouldn't boo.
Back to the training ground to work on those few minor mistakes.

The fans shouldn't boo. It was embarrassing.

Did they boo all the time or did they start by shouting support until they could take no more punishment?

What was embarrassing was getting stuffed at home off a team that so far had amassed 13 points. You're right though they shouldn't have been booed, they should have been sacked.

Top thread, MR I.

The fans should have tried to actually get behind the team when we struggling, maybe that could have lifted, but instead we had an atmosphere as dead as at St James Park this afternoon.

After watching the last two games im not surprised people boo'ed. Gutless, lazy, ineffective useless bunch! Once Joel goes we have nothing left, at all!

To be fair, I did think we were the better side in the first half and were unlucky to go in behind. As soon as we equalised I fully expected us to go on to win.

The last 40 minutes of the second half were abysmal. We made it easy for them by scoring their second and gifting their fourth. I don't think fans should boo or scream continual abuse at their own players during the game and I don't think it helped today. The players felt more pressure so snatched at chances and made even more mistakes. After the final whistle though, then that's a different matter.

We do need some new faces to freshen up the side. Crewe didn't look anything special but still put four past us. We definitely need a new keeper. Budtz had a decent three games so he needs to be put back in goal in place of ALB until we get someone better. We need some steel in the defence. With James Brown out we definitely need a striking partner for Joel.

booing was bollocks - we were on top in first half and slowed in 2nd - a mare at the back - again - i sat in the millhouse seats today wi the yung un and some yakerr rarf moaned at every fooker so loudly i couldnt hear the son speak - after telling the retard to shut up it got a lot quieter, this person booed kyle off, cheered baby david on - i reckon a while back he'll have been booing baby d. people like him should just welcome to the board to sundland with the bulk of the other lot.

And your point is all yakkers should goto Sunderland? Im sure Ken Hodcroft would be over the moon about that even less people going through the gates confised

No unfortunately, but I could tell from the Pools World Commentary that there was no atmsophere whatsoever at the match after Crewe scored their goals.

It's a vicious circle - it seems the players have to do something before the crowd get behind the team. That shouldn't happen. We should be making the Vic a cauldron of noise that intimidates visiting teams.

You won't be embarassed to be a Poolie when we win again.

Don't worry. We've been in situations like these before. We always improve at some point. We always do.

You get fuckin worse, get a grip you idiot, how can you make the vic a cauldron of noise when 75% of the playing staff dont give a toss.

Try getting to a few games and checking it out first hand, then i reckon the rose tinteds would be off.

We were shit today and i cant see it improving any time soon.

I haven't got a ticket for the Stoke game and after today i don't think i will, my season ticket might even be up for grabs a few times between now and the end of the season.

Is your real name Coco??

When will you realise that if the team are playing like they did today you dont want to sing!!

All you want to do is hear the final whistle, and as for opening your mouth and singing, i seen you at fleetwood and you didn't even know the words to "poolie till i die"

Frankly, I couldn't give a damn about that. As far as I'm concerned, I am actively supporting the football club that I love and enjoying my day out in the process.

I try to stay off POK threads cos I think he's a total wind up and actually threatens this board.

With this thread I recognise that what he's saying has a lot in common with how politicians operate. They deny the facts and their implications and repeat what they would like the situation to be often enough in the hope that they'll convince someone.

The way things are going, we are lucky to have supporters who still want to go to the home games. We got hammered of a team that is at the bottom of the division and has never won an away game this season. "O" yes "sorry" until yesterday...

The crowd booing is your big concern? Am l missing something here? We are in free fall with no manager, no money to invest in the January transfer window.
Who cares about a guy who earned £114,000 on loan to a club that is in struggling financially? He is a football mercenary whose only loyalty is to his own bank balance. I would like to wish K.K all the best in his football career and l hope he achieves what he wants out of football. A big bank balance for a limited amount of talent.

Moan over banghead

my point is that the winging arseholes -whether yakkers or not - should just fuck off - their negativity and abuse borders on bullying and from their elevated point in the stands the distance they keep equates to cowardice

Yes, because I can only go to matches that I can get to, but when I'd go to them, I would make some noise.

When you hear people claiming IOR sacked Wilson because it's too expensive in League One, and IOR would rather we were in League Two you do wonder about this clubs supporters sometimes...

I think yesterdays result means the club may try and get a new manager quite quickly, rather than the last time they put Turner in charge and waited til the end of the season.

i had thought i had replied to this -?? anyway it's not that he's a yakker - it's just that he's an arse who gave no one any quarter and weeks ago he'd have been crying for foley to be lynched - booing from his distance is just cowardice
