I was in Woolies Doncaster on Tuesday. If you wanted a coffee percolator or ring binder, it sure was the place to be. That's all they had left.

Has it been spraying like a faulty coffee percolator on whizz like?

Is that the Park Hotel In Park Road........started my drinking career in there (among other pubs like). There was war on when the Landlord in there predicted that one day beer would be Half-a-Crown a pint. It got in the Mail.

I used to go drinking in there about 20 -22 years ago, every night of the week.

Unfortunately I was in there round-about twenty years earlier than that. It was a good Saturday night in there followed by a trip to the Rink which was unlicenced so you had to get stoked up before you set off.

Owld get aren't I

Used to go in there on a Saturday dinner-time with our lass about that time ...... then take her back to work and go to Pools, perfect domestic arrangement.
She never wondered why we didn't go in in the summer.

It was a bloody horrible place the Rink like but it was full of women who'd had a few Johnny Pinos the well known Camerons pineapple wine known locally as knicker dropper. The lads got in there after a few pints, there'd be a few fights with the bouncers running the warriors out of the fire doors head first in a head lock. I think it shut around 11:30 so the aim was to cop off and ask the lass if you could see her home.

Just think Mr I, given different circumstances I might have been your Dad.
