Aye. I'll nip over the hills to sample again the luxury that is Moss Road. I can't get to the game on Tuesday so I'd better show my face at this one.

As for pubs, the grounds guide reckons that the grounds guide reckon this;

Quote:

Where To Drink?
The ground is located on the outskirts of Macclesfield and therefore there is not a tremendous choice of pubs or even a handy chippy. The Golden Lion is the only close pub, about a ten minute walk from the away turnstiles. I found the pub warm and friendly, although it didn't do any food which was surprising. There was a 50-50 mix of home and away supporters in this pub on my last visit. To find the Golden Lion, simply head down Moss Lane, which goes behind the away terrace, and then turn left at the corner of the ground and walk down behind the new stand. Keep straight on this road and you will come to the pub on the left.

If you like your real ale then I would suggest taking the 10 minute walk to The Railway View pub on Byrons Lane. This smallish pub has around six ales on offer including a number of guest beers. They also sell homemade pies and if the weather is good then there is a small beer garden. To find this excellent pub follow the A523 from the ground towards Macclesfield town centre. You will pass a pub 'The Albion' and then at the next set of traffic lights turn right into Byrons Lane. Just go over the railway bridge and the pub is on the right. Paul Petty a visiting Colchester United fan adds; 'I went to the Railway on Byrons Lane before (and after) the game. I am not sure if it is a annual event but I was lucky enough to hit their mini-spring beer festival. I would highly recommend the pub for both the quality of the beer and the friendliness of both the landlord and clientele. My only regret was that I didn't book a later train back to London!'

Well if you'd turned up like you said you were gonna turn up.... :roll: :roll: :roll:

The were outside The Church Inn at Rochdale at quarter to twelve. The landlord came strolling round the corner about ten minutes later and let them in. I've only ever beat them to the boozer once and that was a Friday night at Lincoln which is local to me, and a nightmare for them.

I'll be there flogging Monkey Business. I've managed to get to every way league game this season, although this is the first cup game I'll have attended.
