Can we just accept that we are a not particularly good, lower half, third division side.

Were not very good but its worrying as hell that were not putting our best XI out,

ALB ffs and this from someone who used to be a keeper. I remember now why I used to hate Turners guts. banghead

you can't blame ALB for the defeat though, apparently he couldn't do anything with the first 2 goals

Turner isn't a miracle worker and Wilson wasn't completely stupid. The fact is that nothing has changed in terms of personnel; we still do not have any full backs, a decent goalie and James Brown is still injured. We beat a poor Southend side because we are not as bad as them and they only had ten men for a fair bit of the game and followed that up by being stuffed by a Scunthorpe side who are better than us.

This is where we are gentlemen, we are a mediocre, lower mid table side.

Bollocks - he could and should easily have had the first one.
He couldn't do much about the last one mind.

He didn't get a hand on the first that wasn't a brilliant free kick, the only problem was that it was on target and above head height he's fooked whenever that happens. The second seemed to go through him but it was hard to tell due to how far away I was.

There were a few around us saying that ALB had no chance because it went in off the bar. Excuse me? Keepers are allowed to use their hands, the goal's only eight feet high and it went in on his near side. Very very saveable, and I would have expected him to do better. Having seen Budtz's performance at Hereford I'm convinced he would have saved it.

Mind one thing I will say is that it was NEVER a free kick to start with! How the fook do people like Kettle officiate games every week when it's absolutely obvious they are shite. The bloke is notorious for being shite! He even had a word with Rowell, what could he have possibly have been saying to the lad!!? "Don't compete for the ball and win it fairly son".

ALB cant save anything above his head, his hands dont seem to work above a set height. His poistioning at free kicks is also woeful.

Well done Tubby, a fuck up already.

The real test will come on Sunday. Will he be strong and drop ALB?

That will mean admitting he was wrong though and Tubby doesnt like doing that.

not having seen the goal, I was dismayed that a direct free kick went straight in without the keeper getting near to it yet again. My first thoughts were to attribute a large portion of blame to inadequate goalkeeping once more. I have a feeling that if Mad John and Richard Head are not defending him, then it does indeed look like a woeful decision to put Barrett back in nets.
I can only assume things have gone on behind the scenes regarding budtz, such that he has been told in no uncertain terms that the club will not consider him for selection unless Barrett is unavailable, regardless of who is the better keeper. I hope I'm wrong, but there doesn't seem any other plausible explanation for reinstating a completely incompetent goalie to the team.
