Might be going for a night out there soon, any places that are decent but only locals will know? Been before but it seemed a bit shit to be honest!

Err, I do.

Depends what you're into.

If you're a bit of a poseur, go round the Lace Market area.

If you're a townie, go along Parliament Street.

If you like proper old boozers, they're dotted about all over.

If you're lazy, there's loads of pubs/bars of all descriptions next to each other in The Cornerhouse development.

I'm surprised you think its shiit, there's usually blit everywhere, unless you were in the gay area. :shock:

Is that Irish Bar / Club or whatever still there? A nightclub type place in a scutty old building that played class 90s indie stuff all night and was full of nurses and the like the night that I went which was probably nearly 10 years ago now like but it might be and if it still is it's class and stuff like...

Yes Ripper, it's still there and still the same. I tapped Mrs Nottingham in there nearly 7 years ago!
