no player deserved that last night. We can all have our opinions after the game, or even to each other on the terraces during the game, but shouting abuse at players while the game is ongoing just isn't on.

what concerned me more was the dad teaching his kids to sing songs with really bad language in as the kids were lucking to be 8 year old dont know if anyone else heardd it

Funny that cos as I walked past Morrisons back to my car I was appalled to hear four eight-year olds being encouraged to sing "Who the fucking hell are you?" By two adults who thought it was hilarious.

Can anyone tell me what is achieved by abusing a player on the pitch? Will they suddenly start pulling their puddings out and develop a talent they never knew they had..? of course not. A bit of encouragement , even if they are fookin dire may not make the player perform any better, but it won't alienate them. If someone stood watching you do a job for them and kept telling you your rubbish, you'd be off, what's the difference ...?
If you're not happy, come on the boards and discuss it, they may well be shite and deserve every bit of criticism going, but doing it while they're actually playing benefits no one at all.

and there was one bloke i had never seen before in the town end shouting his head off at every tackle and he was pulled up by two stewards after he urged sweeny to "hit him hard cos he is black" referring to Stanislas the winger

It was way beyond banter downright abuse, and during the game it was mainly in the second half when we were 3-0 and his victim had already bagged a brace!? Absolute imbeciles. What goes through the mind of such cranks?
